Severus needed to go somewhere and relieve some stress, he would have begun brewing but evereything he wanted to brew either took too long or required ingredients that he simply didn't have. Hm...he would have to speak with Bella. Oh what joys life threw at him! And anyway lurhing in the dungeons would mean she coudl find him easily and he didn't want her to think he was her lap-dog. After all, bella had never had competition for the dark Lord's..well, not affections but trust before. After that ministry fiasco and after Severus had killed the previous Headmaster,Albus Dumbledore, Severus had become rather trusted by The Dark Lord and he knew that was a blow to bella. Admittedly he wasn't the favourite, but all that could change at the drop of a hat. Smirking he continued along the fourth floor corridor until he reaced a large door.Entering, Severus felt himself grow contented. Books, thousands of millions of billions of tomes, all categorically sorted and alphabetis- Severus stopped and glared at a large volume that was bound in leather. The spine read, "The History of Magical Education in Europe" and was volume six of eight. ANd yet, it was standing in a bookshelf, next to a collection of books on Non-Human Languages. Snatching the book out of its place he hefted the book onto a table to see who had had it last before remembering that anyone was free to enter the library and read without checking out the books. Clenching one pale fist, he grabbed the book which protested slightly and began to stride towards the historical section. Sure enough there was a break in the run of leather bound books. Severus felt a muscle twitch by the side of his mouth. THere, sitting merrily in bright purple was Gilderoy Lockhart's Voyages with a Vampire. Sneering at the puny blonde wizard on the front, Severus pulled it out, none too gently and carefully replaced the larger tome in its rightful place. Turning around, he saw the sectioin for fictional accounts not ten feet away. The laziness of these students frustrated him no end. Slamming the book back where it belonged, he sat down at the desk between the shelves, exhausted from the energy he had spent getting involved in the sorting of the books and from lack of sleep. He pulled a book towards him that was sitting on the table and, were it not for the fact that this book was a potions text, would have banged his head on the table. However, it was a potions volume and if it was out, that meant it had been read. he flicked open the cover and riffled the pages before randomly choosing one of the technique pages and indulging in some light reading, one of his potion stained hands propping up his head.

With the use of a fork, Hallie stabbed the poor pancake, which was lying innocently on her plate. She gently took a bite and to her oppinion it was really tasty pancake. It was almost how her mother does it whenever she asked her to cook one for her. She really missed her mother, her father and the rest of the muggle world. She beamed at the house elf who served her the great masterpiece. Sure it was a pancake, just a pancake, but to Hallie, it somehow connects her to the muggle world, to her parents, relatives and other neighbors. Smiling to herself, she finished of the the rest of the pancake.
Hana, after a few minutes, was finally finished with her snack. She bid the house elves, who all looked delighted, good bye. Hallie waved and beamed at them before the portrait to the kitchens slam shut on its on. The Kitchens is one plays she frequented the most in her stay at the school. The number one reason is the fact that the Hufflepuff Common Room is just a few steps away from the Kitchens. Due to her frequent visits, she develop good friendship with the house elves, who are always there to help her and are always kind to her. Hal actually goes there sometimes in her free time to talk to them.
She already took a nap, ate her snack and she knew she had nothing better to do than to go to the library and amuse herself as she read some interesting books. She had heard a couple of days ago from a Ravenclaw friend that three boxes of new books would be delivered to Hogwarts. Her friend told her that the books were the expensive pocket books that can only be purchased at Flourish and Blotts. The Ravenclaw also told her that Mr Flourish and Mr. Blotts will deliver them as a gift for Dumbledore. The fact that all of it was for Dumbledore made Hallie smile. Those books surely are nice.
Before she knew it, she found herself standing in front of the huge wooden door separating the Library from the rest of the school. She pushed the door open and closed it gently behind her so as not to make noise that would surely call the attention of the Librarian, which will lead to a really unwanted and unplanned commotion. She was not scared of commotions or making them but she knew that in the Library, commotions have no place.

Reading the notes on variant preparation methods, Severus became bored quickly. HE had read this tome many times in his Hogwarts years, when he had attended. Rubbing a hand over his face he stretched out his legs under the table and yawned discreetly. Standing, he tucked the chair back under the table and picked up the book. He weighed it in his hand. It seemed to have got far lighter since he'd last read it. Shrugging slightly he began to walk to the shelf nearest him before remembering that whoever had used it before him had moved it a fair distance from its home. Muttering about the laziness of some students he turned and stalked towards the Potions section. As he passed one row he noted with displeasure that there was a hufflepuff, airy-fairy as usual. Grumbling to himself he moved on and reached the place where he must have spent a good percentage of his time at Hogwarts. HE ran a long finger along the row upon row of books until he found the remainder of the Potioneer's Handbook collection. Sliding the book back into place with a care that he never showed his own old potions textbook, he was about to turn and leave when a new addition to the Library caught his eye. It was a short discourse on the effects of adding various roots to potions that were predominantly animal based. HE slid it out and scanned the blurb quickly. Deciding that it might be an entertaining read, Severus flipped open the cover and leant against the table. Occassionally a flicker of a smile would cross his features as he noted either a small beginner mistake, or a new piece of information.

Kaori could not concentrate on the homework her transfiguration professor had assigned them. Time for more exploring, the yong girl thought happily. She left the Gryffindor Common Room and started to wander around the castle. She would have to write her parents sooner and tell them what she had been doing. But I better leave the encounter with Voldemort out, she thought. Or else mama would have a go at him. She giggled at the thought.
Her feet carried her to the library. I haven't been in there yet, she thought before opening the door. She closed the door behind her gently as she started to wander around. She had pinned up her coal black hair(so much like her father's) in a ponytail. Her sapphire blue eyes held awe in them as she looked around.

Hallie walked in and glanced over at some shelves. The books at Hogwarts really were old. A lot of shelves were so dirty and a number of books looked like they would fall apart when taken from the shelf. Hallie wondered how the ancient school was able to preserve the great collection of books for such a long time. She scanned the place for a play to stay and when she saw a free table she made her way to it and took her seat.
She drummed her fingers on the table as she tried to think og something nice to do or to read. Looking all over the place to see where the three boxes of new books, that her friend mentioned that week, are. After a few times of going over the shelves that she could see, she found no sign or whatsoever of the three boxes. Sighing, she just continued to drum her fingers on to the table.

Closing the book with a snap, Severus decided to check the book out. HE pushed himself off the table edge and strode towards the front desk where Irma pince, Hogwarts' resident psychotic librarian, sat. On his way he almost tripped over a small 1st year that was paying no attention to the world around her. He had walked straight into her. Blaming it on her height, HE took a step back wards and looked down his hooked nose at her with a warning in his eyes. The warning slowly turned to a malicious glint as he saw two colours on a tie. Red and Gold. A Gryffindor. Nay, A Gryffindor first year. "I would strongly advise you to take care when walking about a public area." He said in his 'I'm-far-superior-to-you' voice. "However," He paused," I doubt any advice i could give you would ever penetrate your thick skull." Now that was satisfying. HE smirked for a moment, contemplating whether to take points from Gryffindor. But, since it was as much his fault as hers, he decided against it. He could always find Potter if Gryffindor seemedto be in need of points loss. Severus began to take a step forward, in order to reach the desk.

Kaori placed both hands on her hips, looking very much like her mother when she was in a bad mood. She pursed her lips and glared up at the much older man. "It was yourfault," she told him in her most noble voice. The voice was reserved for wrong-doings. She had inherited the deadly voice from her mother. It was very useful indeed. Her eyes narrowed. "I would except an apology," the little princess stiffened a bit.

Sudddenly, Severus found himself with a Gryffinodr temper tantrum on his hands. He had the urge to laugh at the small girl, standing hands on hips. He was sure that she had been mentioned to him before but evidently if she had been of great import, he would have remembered. Severus let an amused look filter over the scowl. "It was your fault," Severus' face lit up as though he were watching a theatre performance, Not only would he have valid reason to deduct house points or even give a detention, but the build up to it was proving very entertaining. His thin lips curved slightly in a smirk. "I would except an apology," He pulled a face to suggest that she was the cuttest widdle gwiffindor he'd ever seen. With a decidedly evil smile that was rather crooked, he leant forward slightly as though about to share a secret with her. "Is that so?" He glanced around quickly. "Well...I Am prepared to accept an evening of your freetime. How does that sound?" HE straightened and looked at her with smug satisfaction. God, he loved this job.

Kaori's eyes flashed with anger. Her sapphire blue eyes looked like cold stone. Another useful trait she got from her mother indeed. She stiffened. "I refuse thank you very much," she said stiffly. "I have other things to do than bother other people around. There it came out. Her temper flared. She wasn't the type that wanted to be pushed around. If only I had my sword, she thought dismisivelly. Kaori glared up at the man.

Hallie's eyes was all over the place since she was looking for something. She saw quite a number of familiar faces and yes she just sighted a certain potions master a.k.a. Snape. And he did not look happy, well he never looked really happy. His face only looked like that when he is somehow finding joy with his tormenting-people-especially-non-slytherin-hobby.
Hallie looked for the student of course and her assumption proved to be right that time since she found Kaori. She was not scared though, far from it. Her hands was on her waist and she too did not look happy. She appearred to be... insulted? she did not know what word would exactly describe the first year's face but who cares? She was just astounded by Kaori's bravery. Hello?! A first year doing what she is doing! Hallie had never seen anything like it before.
Hallie eyed Snape then Kaori and back to again. She wondered what the professor or Kaori would do next. She had never seen a student fight back or anything like that to Snape.

"I refuse thank you very much," She seemed to have taken offence, good that would-Now hold on. She REFUSED??! The nerve of this little girl was going to get her a very private audience with a wand.. "I have other things to do than bother other people around." Now she was foor the high jump, Severus' smirk changed immediately to a cold glare accompanied by a sneer,"It is a shame that you have no choice in the matter then." Invading her personal space very effectively, He said in a warning tone,"You will see me tonight in the dungeons, as soon as supper is over. There is no room for argument." He strode towards the desk, turning his back on her and caught a glimpse of the Hufflepuff again. HE scowled and continued until...

Kaori took a step back as he came closer. She made a few well choosen words run through her head: the results of being around guards almost her entire life. She stomped her feet in anger. Her mother's temper seemed to have run well with the girl. She certainly was the image of her mother in the way she acted.
"That is not fair!" she protested angrily. "You started this and you should not punish me!" She took a deep breath, slowly calming herself down. Why didn't I bring my sword? she inquired to herself. Or at least a knife. Oh wait they're upstairs in my bag, she thought a little forlorn. Kaori looked at him in the eye. By Mithros she wasn't going to back down from this.

Hallie watched the two curiously. The next thing she knew was... well... Snapers started invading Kaori's space and the little princess moved back a little. She had never seen Snapers that angry or cold before. For a moment she thought Kaori was gonna suffer Snapers' wrath. she must have hit a nerve. After all, what she did was not normal, well it was not everyday that students say those well chosen words to Snape. Plus, she was only a first year, Hallie would not have dared to do that is she was a first year. At least she thought she could not... well that doesn't matter, it is the thought that counts.
Hallie did not know what to do exactly. She wanted to intervene but something was telling her that things are gonna be alright. She watch Snape closely and she knew that even if he was angry, he would not do something stupid. Snape has self-control and Hal just knew it.
She heard Kaori's angry protests. She completely understood how she felt. Snape can really be unfair at times, especially to non-slytherins like the two of them. Snape then started moving away from the Gryffindor... Hallie got up from her chair and went toward Kaori. Maybe, just maybe, getting Kaori's attention would stop her from getting more words on detention out of Snape's mouth. "Hey Kaori!" Hallie called as she approached, to her surprise, Kaori exclaimed. "You started this and you should not punish me!"

Severus heard an odd sound behind him, like a toddler stomping their feet. Then he smirked, of course it would sound like that, that, essentailly, was what it was. He began to turn when the small gryffindor began to rant at him. "That is not fair!" Severus' eyes no longer held a sense of toying with the small girl, they were now cold and hard and most assuredly focused on the smalll girl when almost out of nowhere a voice came,"Hey,Kaori!" Turning on the new participant in this sorry game, Severus saw the hufflepuff that had been lurking. She recieved both a customary and a warning glare. And then... "You started this and you should not punish me!" Severus' head snapped round and his eyes narrowed. Didn't this silly girl understand what he was capable of? Putting his face, mere centimetres from hers[carefully judged to avoid bashing his over-size nose] He sneered,"A lot of things should not happen, little girl. They still happen. For example, I should not pour acid into your Pumpkin Juice, but if sufficiently aggravated, it. may. happen. Clear?" His eyes bored into hers with malice. Deciding that she had been sufficiently warned, he made up his mind to ask Bella what precisely he was and was not permitted to do during her reign. He straightened and swept her out of his way with a pale hand. It was people like her that had made him join the ranks of the Dark Lord.

Kaori turned and she grinned. "Hallie!" she said happily, waving her friend over. She then turned to glare at the professor. The princess took a step back as he moved his face closer to hers. Stupid, she scolded herself. I knew I should have brought my knives with me. The thought made her appear calm. The image of her mother yelling at Snape filled her mind once more and she hid a grin. She made a face.
"Don't talk to me like that." she demanded, straigtening her back a little bit. Her princess side(that she had kept hidden since her arrival at the school) was starting to come out. "Do you not know who I am? Princess Kaori Alexander Conte of the Yamani Islands." She had revealed who she truely was. The princess stared back at those cold eyes with her sapphire blue ones. "I do not enjoy being threatened," she snapped. "My mama will hear if this," she certainly would write to her mother and tell her about this. Shinkokiami would be in a full-blown out temper.
