Hallie beamed when she got her friend's attention. She heaved a sigh of relief. At least she would be out of trouble now. She just did not like her friend to get tons of Detentions around here. She knew she was princess and she was well aware of the fact that princesses do not get things like detentions. Hallie felt Snape's glare and cold eyes on her. She never liked the professor but she still threats him with respect since she had always been a nice girl. She knew he was authority and authorities may not be always right but still they are authorities.
Hallie jumped back when she saw Snape's face so close with Kaori's. The professor indeed was angry and Hallie shook her head. She just could not understand why Snape needed to threaten children. He is a professor! He should be matured enough to at least be civil with his students. But Hallie could not blame him, he is a professor and professors just cannot tolerate people, especially students, disrespecting them because if they did the students might abuse it and nothing good will happen. The Hufflepuff can not blame Kaori for arguing with the professor her for she is a princess and she is eleven.
Hallie watched as Kaori told Snape about her owling her parents. She wanted to drag Kaori away from the place but she just could not, she just stood rooted on the spot, not knowing what to do. She just could not decide. [/color]

The little girl took a small step back and Severus thought inwardly of all the tales of gryffindor bravery. "Don't talk to me like that." Circe on a bicycle! Did this girl want him to kill her?!"Do you not know who I am? Princess Kaori Alexander Conte of the Yamani Islands." While the name suddenly rang bells, Severus was too well trained as a spy to show surprise and too angry to let her get away with this. "Well, Princess, I am Professor Severus Snape, Potions Master of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I am your Professor and your superior. And I am also the person who you WILL be seeing tonight for your detention. And if you persist in giving me cheek, I will be taking points from Gryffindor." That ought to sort her out. Purebloods were all the same, constantly convinced they were in the right and immune to rules. "I do not enjoy being threatened, My mama will hear of this," Severus tok a long gaxe at her down his hooked nose and folded his arms. "She will hear of this indeed. Whether it be in the obituaries column, or in a letter that I pen myself, asking her to teach her daughter some manners and respect!" He spat the last word out, Drawing looks from Madame Pince for breakng the however-many decibel rule of the Library.

Kaori pursed her lips together tightly. She was about ready to explode with anger and her temper. She knew she was slightly glowing with a strange sapphire blue, the color of her Gift. She took a few deep breaths. The princess prayed to Mithros-the ruler of the gods-to let her be calm. She also prayed to the Great Mother Goddess-the protector of women-to watch over her. She looked calm enough. But her sapphire blue eyes blazed with anger.
"I'll be there," she hissed in Yamani(or Japanese). She knew the professor would not understand this. Or she thought he won't. She was ridged with anger. This was one of the little girl's downfaults: not controlling her temper.

Hallie just stood there, still holding her tongue and not moving a muscle. The situation was worst as it was and she did not want to do anything that was synonymous to putting fuel on fire. She did not want to start a new fire and lift all the spirit of anger higher. She did not want to anger Snape or upset Kaori even more so she just stood there and did nothing, even though she was not sure if that was the best thing to do at the moment.
Hallie was glad that Kaori calmed down after what Snape did. Well not really calm, calm but still. She was a lot more... relaxed than she had been for the last few moments. She seemed to have collected herself again after Snape's harsh words torned her apart. She was quite amazed at how fast her little friend recovered from that... row? Hallie felt useless as she watched the turn of events unfold before her.

The young girl seemed to be glowing somewhat and most other's would have been worried. Severus however, was unruffled, it was not unusual for him to 'spark' as it were, though his problem was merely a lack of control of magic when he became threatened or severely displeased. She hissed something in a different language at him and he merely raised an eyebrow, it wasn't latin french or eastern european so he couldn't understand it, but he got the picture. HE moved away to take the book out of the Library, just before reaching the desk he turned to remind her. "I would advise you against being late, as, I'm sure, would Miss Appleby." With that, he engrosssed himself in a conversation with Irma Pince, the Librarian.
