At about 3 o'clock in the morning, Abby walked into the Kitchens. She hadn't been able to sleep throughout the night, and she couldn't stand just lying there anymore. She yawned, tripped over something, and almost fell but didn't. A house-elf came up to her. "Toast and hot chocolate." she said. Normally she tried to be at least somewhat friendly with house-elves, but she was too tired.
She sat down randomly at a table, and put her head in her arms. She hated not sleeping, but there was nothing she could do about it. The house-elf came up to her a few moments later with her toast and hot chocolate. Abby didn't bother to thank the house-elf, but just took the toast and mug.
She sat up, pushing her soft golden-blonde hair behind her ear irritably before finally giving up and just throwing it in a ponytail. Abby took a small bite out of her toast, then put it down distastefully and sighed. . As she took a sip of the hot chocolate, it burned her tongue, but she didn't care. She continued drinking it, but didn't finish it. The blonde Gryffindor kept the warmth of the hot chocolate in her hands to warm them, looking around with no hint of curiosity or caring. It was then that Abby heard someone walk into the kitchens. She turned around to see......

Tami was, once again, awoken by her churning stomach. She had skipped dinner that night due to some complicated essay that the Divinations Professor decided to assign. She wanted to drop the great subject that year but something went wrong and she ended up having it listed on her timetable. Rolling over, she forced her eyes to close but to no avail. Her stomach just would not let her get to dreamland. It was screaming, asking for justice. Food.
Shrugging, she got up, grabbed the clock and saw that it was three o¡¦clock in the freaking morning. Groaning inside, she got up and went straight out of the portrait hole. She knew she had to serve justice to her stomach or she would end up in some place like the school¡¦s infirmary.
She made her way down slowly and stopped when she thought she saw someone. She knew she would be dead when she was caught by Mrs. Norris or Filch or some grumpy professor but she did not exactly care. She was too sleepy to care about getting a detention or being caught at the moment. In just a few minutes, she found herself in front of the infamous pear. She smiled, tickled it and entered the facility. A house elf popped in front of her at once but she had already summoned a piece of brownie from one of the shelves. She stuck her tongue out at the laughing house elf.

Abby narrowed her eyes slightly at the sight of the older Ravenclaw. Though she was older, she did seem a little bit immature from Abby's point of view. Wow, that's pretty dumb. Who does that to a house-elf? How old is she, like, 5 or something? And what is up with all the energy? It's like, 3 in the morning. That's stupid. the blonde thought irritably.
Finally, she decided that the immature Ravenclaw wasn't worth her attention. Without bothering to say anything or introduce herself, Abby turned back around and focused her attention on her hot chocolate again. She played with her ponytail, then took another sip of her hot chocolate.
Realizing that it was the last of it in her mug, Abby politely ordered another. She sat there for only a few seconds before the small house-elf came back with more. "Thanks." Abby muttered under her breath, followed by a yawn. [/blockquote]

After laughing at the house elf¡¦s expression, she sighed and made her way to the table next to her. She took a bit of her brownie as she settled down. It was so early in the morning and she was so sleepy to notice the other student sitting at the other end of the table.
She spaced out for a while and a house elf snapped her out of her reverie. ¡§Why thank you Silver,¡¨ She beamed at the house elf called Silver as she accepted the mug of hot chocolate. She need not ask for hot chocolate for Silver, the greatest house elf there at least for her, knew that it was her favorite drink.
A barely audible ¡§Thanks," made her look up. It was a fellow student. A Gryffindor if she was not mistaken. She had seen the other girl around quite a few times but she never really spoke to her. She was positive that the other girl was not in her year. ¡§Hey,¡¨ She greeted simply, not really thinking it was a good time to chat with the girl for she looked like she was going to drift off to sleep any moment. Abby looked at the girl for a second. She seemed to have just noticed Abby's presence in the room. Abby raised her eyebrows, yawned, and toke another sip of her hot chocolate. "Hey." she muttered under her breath, lifting her gaze from the girl.
