Draco could not sleep upon this cold night. Those dreams were once again haunting him. The dreams of that one night, one that would haunt him forever. That face would loom up and tell him, over and over, that he could change, they could change. And that he would hide them. And worse was the fact that upon that night, he had actually hesitated, thinking about his offer. He shuddered at that thought.
So instead of attempting to sleep, and having nightmares again, he slid from under the cool covers. Quietly, he slipped on his black slippers and donned a black cloak that was lined in green. Ever the Slytherin, of course.
Quickly and quietly, he slipped out the dorm and stole through the dark and damp passageways of the dungeons. Many people became lost in the tunnels that sprawled under the castle, under the lake, even. In his first year, he had a hard time remembering where everything is. However, after seven years in the old castle, the passageways were something he knew by heart.
Climbing up from the dungeons, he peered around the Entrance Hall. Probably the one most heavily guarded place in Hogwarts, the Hall was deserted today. However, he still slipped from shadow to shadow, making his way up through the castle, and to the Astronomy Tower.
The west tower, also known as the Astronomy Tower, was the largest tower of Hogwarts. It was where the outdoor Astronomy classes were held, for it was closest to the skies, where the stars were. Many telescoped lined the battlements at the top of the tower, fitted into the crenels, the low parts of the battlements.
However, Draco found more comfort in the small room under the roof. It was not a classroom, but simply a place where students could hide from others, or simply relax. It was also a known place for couples to snog, but to his fortune, and students' fortune, there were none such couples there tonight. He often took points from them, if he found them.
Sighing, Draco leaned against an open air window, looking into the heavens. He stared at the stars, trying to rid himself of that memory, the memory that occured not too long ago, right above his head. Odd, how he wished to find comfort in the place where such a horrid memory happened.
Suddenly, a shuffling of feet, and the scraping of a door was heard behind him, and Draco whipped around, looking at the door that was opening. A figure appeared in the darkness behind the door. Draco stood in the niche, the light of the moon and stars at his back, watching the figure intently. "Who are you?" He questioned, his voice soft, but with an edge to it.
