Potions again. Severus gave a half sigh. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy the subtle science, it was just... The teaching. And... He glanced at the door, the sound of talking and muttering came from outside it....The children. He ran a hand over his tired face, wipingg a little sleep from one eye that had suicases under it, let alone bags. They only served to make him look gaunter than before. Time was not unkind to Severus, he looked little different to ten years ago, perhaps even fifteen, but It was the things he did that aged him. Not visibly, but mentally and emotionally. He stood, world-weary and closed his eyes for a moment, slipping into his mask of disapproval. He crossed the classroom easily with strides of his long legs and Opened the door. The effect of his arrival was immediate. The NEWT class fell almost deathly silent. He jerked his head to the door, "In."
And after the nominal role the torture would begin, both theirs and his.

Roberta was not so sure if she like potions or if she hated that class. She knew that she did enjoy it to a point. She knew that it was useful and it was interesting at the same time. Her only problem was who was teaching the class. She respected Professor Snape when he was or wasn't around but the way that he tended to drone on made her want to just fall asleep and completely forget that she was in class for it felt more like she was one of those people who had problems to fall asleep and he was like the medicine to cure it.
After what seemed to be forever Professor Snape showed up and ordered all of them into the classroom. Adjusting the bag that was on her shoulder she walked in ahead of a lot of other people and took her normal spot on the left side in the rows that were the most far back and set her stuff down before sitting down herself. She ran her fingers through the ponytail that she was being forced to wear from now on. She hated to wear her hair up but thanks to their new headmistress it was mandatory, she didn't understand why she didn't make all of the other houses wear their hair like that and leave the Slytherins alone.
She sat there with her arms crossed as she waited for the rest of the class to take their seats so they could begin the lesson. She did not get known as the most patient person in the world but as it was too early in the morning to worry about it she said nothing but just sat there still feeling a little foggy about what was going on.She knew she was at a lesson for potions but she was wondering why she had to take this class first thing.

Draco adored Potions class. Contrary to popular belief, Draco actually was good at Potions. It wasn't Professor Snape simply favoring him. He appreciated the art of potions making, the care it took to make a successful potion, the patience it took. He loved it all. It could be used for good, for healing. It could also be for the dark, for poisons. It all depended on the user, and what they wanted to make.
Draco leaned against a grimy wall as he waited for his Head of House to let them enter. Everybody else was talking, chattering, being annoying, in general. The one thing he hated about his Potions class was his annoying, twittering classmates. They annoyed him to no end, with their comments about every little thing that needed no attention.
Needless to say, Draco was glad when Snape finally opened the door and let them enter. Grabbing his bag, which was on the ground next to him, he pushed other people aside, and sat at his usual desk, the second to the front. He wondered who would sit next to him, for he knew that Crabbe and Goyle would never be smart enough for this level.
Looking around, he spotted Roberta at the back. He knew that she wasn't a big fan of Potions, well, she hadn't decided yet. He also knew that she wasn't a big fan of Professor Snape. Draco himself liked his Head of House, but sometimes, he didn't know what to think. He knew that he was a spy, but for whom, he didn't know. He didn't know whether he was acting when talking to the Dark Lord, because it seemed so at times. Other times, he seemed sincere. Draco didn't know what to think anymore, really. So, he simply waited for class to start.

The Ravenclaw stood at the end of the line, for an endless amount of time. This wasn't her best class, but she was[/i] good enough and smart enough to get this far in the subject. Letitia sat against one of the walls while reading one of her potion books again, for the hundreth time, not wanting to speak to any body else, besides, she wasn't in the mood, and very, very, very confused, as of course she had kissed the Professer of this class only a few days before.
With her hair up completely, thanks to 'ze new rules, she was stuck with it like this, also with her tie completely done up, and stockings, with her skirt just that tiny[/i] bit too hight, after all, she wanted to impress, and stop the professer in midair when he saw her.
Finally, after what seemed for ever, he came, the potions master. She walked just in front of himas he opened the door for just a few students to come in, then the rest to walk in and open the door themselves. "GZood morning professer" she said casually, then took the right side of the room, near the front, being the nerdy-smart Ravenclaw she seemed to be.
Taking a few things from her bags, such as ink, quills & books for the lesson, with just a few potion ingredients she thought they might've been using

Cassandra made her way down the winding stairs as she headed in the direction of the dungeons. Was potions really on of her favorite class? She would hear people asking themselves this question but more if they liked it themselves. Cassandra simply loved this class not only was she getting a good mark but she was having fun too. She arrived in the dark gloomy dungeon and walked in behind the other students that had also been there. She adjusted the strap on her bag and made way to an empty table.

Once everyone was settled Severus strode to the front of the class, his robes billowing out behind him.Once he stood at his desk he waited for long neough to look atevery member of the class. He could see liabilities already. His eyes lingered perhaps a little too long o Letitia Parker. Having completed his appraisal of the class, he flicked his wand and words appeared on the blackboard. Potions making, read the script. Severus skirted his desk and stood in front of the class. He had best get this over with. "I am aware that some of you would wish that I were not teaxhing you and I wish to make it clear that I shall be teaching you no matter what pathetic stories you tell your parents and no matter what they may consequently write." HE paused to move in front of a hufflepuff who had been speaking and bent so that his face was very close to theirs. "Is what you have to say of more import than the details of what you will be doing this year?" He hissed. "no? Well, then Mr. Collins you will save it for when you are not in my class. Ten points from Hufflepuff." He let the murmurs begin before staring at the murmurers, sending the clear signal that they could lose points too if they continued. When silence once more fell, he continued. "this year you will focus on the more practical side of Potions." He paused to let it penetrate the thivk skulls of the gryffindors. "for some of you this will be an opportunity to prove your level of skill at brewing, " He looked at Draco and a select few other Slytherins,"...For others,"Here he looked directly at Hermione Granger," You will find that more true talent is required and less reading." HE sneered before flicking his wand once more and barking out orders to,"Follow the instructions on the board. Any inappropriate or careless behaviour will see you in my office. Tonight at seven." Always seven, it put pressure on the student to eat fast and do homework faster since they would not know how soon before curfew they would be allowed to leave. Severus remained standing watching hte students at work and occassionally making..'helpful' remarks.

Letitia hissed lowly under her breath. He had not right to say things like that, even if this was his class. SHe wanted to say something, but she knew she would be pushing it, expeciallysince that faitful night. She needed to talk to him about that. As she had thought about it, over & over again, and realised, she had just been in complete shock. But how could she do it?
There was always getting a detention, but before that, house points would be taken off her house. At that point in time, she remembered his eyes almost staring over at her direction. Would he want to talk to her about it? She had no idea.
Letitia tried everything she could to get his attention, without making it a bit too obvious.
Dispite everything, she still liked him in that way, but she just hadn't been ready for that, who could be ready for that?
