History:
Narcissa Aileen Black was born on Valentine’s Day of the year 1955. She was the daughter of Cygnus Black, a descendent from the pure-blood Black Family and Druella Rosier. Her great-great grandfather was Phineas Nigellus Black, who was married to Ursula Black. He was best known for being the worst headmaster Hogwarts had ever had, though with Dumbledore now being considered a madman. He might not have been so bad.
When Narcissa finished Hogwarts she began to become more seriously involved with Lucius Malfoy among a number of things. She joined the Witches’ League, which was a group of wealthy witches determined to make a brighter future for generations of wizards and witches to come. Narcissa also worked on charity projects, the woman wanted to make a good name for her self, a name that would command respect even before she would marry Lucius since he had proposed to her.
Now that Narcissa was engaged to Lucius, she spent much of her time planning the big event. Like every bride, she picked out the china patterns that would grace each table, the music that would be played, and the floral arrangements everyone would see. She had to attend fittings for her gown, and the gowns of he bride’s maids, matron of honor, and dresses for both mothers. Narcissa wanted her special day to be perfect. June of 1976, was just that, perfect. Narcissa Aileen Black was forever more known as Narcissa Aileen Malfoy, wife of Lucius Malfoy. It was a title she adopted with great pride and love.
Her next biggest event was in December of 1979, Narcissa found herself sick quite often, unusually so that it forced her to go to St. Mungo’s. But Narcissa wasn’t sick at all, she was pregnant. It was a thrill to both her parents and Lucius’. So much so that the only thing that could go wrong would be that the child was a girl. It didn’t.
On June 5, 1980, Lucius and Narcissa became the proud parents of a healthy baby boy. He had his father’s grey eyes and his mum’s nose. The boy was perfect in every way. They named him Draco, for dragon, a real go getter. His middle name was Lucius, a tribute to Narcissa’s only love. Draco Lucius Malfoy was everything both the Black and Malfoy families wanted.
Cygnus Black wanted to honor his only grandson. Seeing as how Sirius was a joke and burnt of the family tree, and Regulus was dead, there would be no more Blacks added to the tapestry. Cygnus Black along with his sister Walburga made an exception for Narcissa’s son. Instead of the usual notation of 1 son when a child was born to a Black female, Draco’s name would appear on the family tree, a hope he would carry on the great Black legacy.
Narcissa wasn’t exactly the greatest mother, so to help her in raising Draco she hired a fleet of Nannies and Governesses. To make sure he was happy she’d spoil him and dote over him. On rare occasions, she would try and get away from Lucius and peek in on Draco. There were even times when she would stay in his room and cuddle him. She’d sing him to sleep or if he was awake, she’d entertain him. But it wasn’t all the time, just rare moments.
As they watched Draco grow, Narcissa wanted her baby close by. It started a fued. Lucius wanted Draco in Durmstrang, but Narcissa used everything to have Draco go to Hogwarts. It was true the school wasn’t up to par, but Narcissa liked the fact her son would be closer to home.
As Draco went off to Hogwarts, she would send him sweets and other goodies to remind him how much she loved and missed. Narcissa knows he is getting too old for this kind of treatment, she doesn’t care she wants him to remember her love for him.
One of the worst years for Narcissa was in 1992. It started with the passage of her father. He died peacefully. It was true the man wasn’t exactly the nicest guy in the book, but she did admire the way he broke tradition and put Draco on the family tree, showing him to be a royal Black. Next was watching her husband make a stupid mistake, which resulted in him loosing his position as a Governor of Hogwarts. Narcissa didn’t say a word though, remembering her place in life was to make her husband feel secure.
For two years things went quiet, that was until the Dark Lord was reborn. Harry accused Lucius of being Death Eater. Luckily they thought he was crazy and Lucius was never publicly forced to trial. It was a close call, allowing him to remain in the ministry. In the Malfoy home things seemed to look brighter, and that made Narcissa feel a bit at ease.

Narcissa uneasily sat there, lost in thought. Bellatrix was the first to get engaged. She loved him and he in turn was well respected by the family. So it was perfect. Her other sister should have been engaged to Lucius, but she ran off to marry a freak and reproduce mini freaks. Narcissa was the last of the Black sisters, soon she would be of the noble Malfoy family. It was a lot for a young girl to inhale.
A voice brought Narcissa out of her own world, and she quickly spun around to see her older sister standing behind her. The words welcome home actually almost made Narcissa cry. Narcissa didn’t have a home; she was shuttled between one place and another. Currently her home was a layover until her wedding in which she would be settling into an unknown home. She scoffed off Bella’s welcome, “home, I honestly feel like a guest here.” She didn’t mean to sound rude, but it was her nerves.
She quickly apologized, “I’m sorry! Of course it’s good to be home, thank you.” Her blue eyes fell to the floor. She sighed as if the world was coming to an end, “It’s just that within weeks my home won’t be in London. I’ll be moving to Wiltshire… I think that’s where he is from.” She tried to give her sister a smile, but it wasn’t bright because there were still fears inside of her. It was fears that would pass but with a lot of time.
“I mean I love Lucius, but…” Was Narcissa admitting outloud that she was slightly nervous? She couldn’t admit her nervousness, so she asked the only sensible question. “What was it like when you got married?” She couldn’t run and tell their mother, the woman would fear Narcissa was backing out. To the true Black Family, Narcissa was marrying the equivalent of royalty. So any concerns she even based would sound wrong. Narcissa wasn’t going to back out, she just needed answers. And possibly a little more time with him.
She blinked her blue eyes, curiously waiting for Bella to say something. Narcissa was scared that even Bella might say something that she didn’t quite want to hear, or worse she’d run and tell one of the Mrs. Blacks. Since there was silence between the two, maybe the girl was in shock over Narcissa’s questions. Why did she say it? She knew she shouldn’t have, but then again Narcissa wanted to understand what it was going to be like when she woke up next to a man. She wanted to know if her feelings were normal, or if she was internally backing down and disappointing her family. But for some reason she was sure she wasn’t backing down. After all, he was gorgeous, rich, powerful, and a pureblood, everything she had imagined for herself in a husband.
