A scowl was plastered Aleta's face as she walked down the cool streets of Hogsmeade. One thing she hated about the discovery of a whole new world? There were crowds. Although she technically was noble, crowds of simple commoners would not part for her, something she was used to back in the Copper Isles.
So, instead of waiting for them to get out of her way, Aleta simply pushed many people out of her way as she entered Honeydukes Sweetshop. The place, as usual, was crowded. Dispite the many protests, Aleta simply walked through the throng, pushing people from her way.
Aleta didn't care about their thoughts at all. All she cared about was the delicious sweets that Honeydukes made. One thing, perhaps, she did like about this place. They made the best sweets ever. She never did have alot of sweets back in Tortall or the Copper Isles. Sure, there were desserts, but they were only to be served for special occasions.
Aleta pushed her way to the section that had the chocolates. Aleta discovered how good chocolate really was. The Isles only had it in small quantaties on their desserts, so Aleta didn't truly taste it. Upon arriving at the section, she found most of the chocolates being gone.
Aleta scowled, and headed towards the fudge. However, there was only one tin of it left. And it seemed as if the person at the other end of the aisle wanted it as well. She didn't know who it was, or even cared. She walked purposefully towards the box, and grabbed it; at the exact same time the other person did. Aleta looked up and scowled. "This is my box of fudge." She informed the person angrily.

Zane woke up quite early, it was a weekend, which was unusual. He groggily walked from his bed to the showers, instantly greeted by the cold shower. Surprisingly, it only took him about five minutes to get a bath, probably because he really couldn't stand the cold water on his skin.
He walked to the Common Room and sat down on one of the couches. After an hour or so, there still wasn't anyone there, so he just decided to go to Hogsmeade, since there was a trip today, he would be quite early though, but he could care less. He walked from the dungeons to the entrance hall and out the castle to where the carriages were. He slowly got into one of them and when after about ten minutes no one else arrived, he went by himself, glad that he won't have to be sharing it with some mudbloods.
Once he reached Hogsmeade, which barely had people in it since he was really early, he went to Honeydukes first, since he knew that when the other students came, its inventory would be completely sold out. Walking in, he went to the candy section first, got a handful and went to the chocolate section. There he got almost a basket full, consisting of white, dark, milk, with nuts and almost every variant. He loved chocolates, wasn't that obvious? Once he paid for his loot he walked out and saw that the streets were already full of people, funny, he spent that much time shopping for candy.
Then he saw someone, judging from her way towards others, he knew she was a Slytherin, a rather beautiful one in fact. Shaking the thought out of his head, he went in once more into Honeydukes, right after she did, which was quite hard to do since it was already flooded with students, here and there. He leaned on one of the walls (he got there by shoving a little bloke) and looked (more of smirked) at her as she argued for a box of sweets.
Squeezing through the crowd, he finally reached the girl and casually said; "If you want chocolates, I could give you some" he said as he held out the bag which was filled with the sweets."

Aleta was not one to like commoners of any sort. But here, it did not matter. To her, only the purebloods would be considered nobility. But there were not many of them here, sadly enough. The purebloods were a dying breed. Within Hogwarts, most of the purebloods were within Slytherin, the House of which she belonged. Of course, there were other purebloods within other Houses, but Slytherin housed the largest amount of purebloods.
Aleta wasn't one to quite fall in love. Right now, she wasn't interested. Sure, she looked at guys, thought some were cute, or whatever. But she never found any need for courting them. However, some girls her age, those that were court ladies, were often married off at her age. But that was not something that happened here. Odd, really.
As Aleta pushed through the crows, she noticed that someone seemed to be following her. Looking at the corner of her eye, she noticed that he was rather cute. She quickly shook that idea out of her head, however, and started to grab for a dagger. But then she remembered that this was not somewhere to pull a dagger on someone. Another difference, and something she didn't like. Her daggers were her comfort, and they were not here to help here this time.
Aleta turned quickly as someone said something to her from behind. She whirled around to glare at him. She knew that he was coming. Her senses had made her aware of that, having the alerness of a spy, and her Sight to help her. Her green eyes looked at him, suspicious. "And how am I to know that they are not poisoned?" She questioned, her voice litling. She could see that they were not, be he did not know that.
Aleta grabbed the fudge, ripping it from the other person's hand and stalked to purchase the chocolate. Finally, she made her way back to the chocolate area, stuck her tongue out at the other person, and looked back at the boy. "You have quite a sweet tooth, do you not?" She questioned lightly, an eyebrow arched. Of course, she had to use her proper speech that was usually reserved for court, for she did not know where this person stood within the heirarchy of the wizarding world.

Zane waited and finally he heard her speak.
"Of course they're not poisoned" he said as he got one piece of chocolate and popped it into his mouth gracefully. He watched her keenly as she grabbed the piece of fudge from another person and walked to the counter then paid for it. Definitely a Slytherin Pureblood he thought as he grinned at himself. He didn't want to be caught dead with a mudblood.
When she came back he was about to finish a bar of chocolate but then thought otherwise. He wrapped it up again and put in his pocket. He looked at the girl again, he did find her attractive, but there was something about her the he couldn't put a finger on. He grinned when he was her stick her tongue out at the person whom she got chocolate from.
"Well, I do, really, and its pretty obvious" he said and indicated to the bag he was holding to add to the point. He knew that probably that's what she thought already, it was obvious, point blank. "Do you want to get some?" he added, as he grinned at her. He leaned against the wall beside him and looked at her, his arms crossed, still holding the bag. "Your a Slytherin right?" he questioned as he smirked at her.

A soft giggle escaped her lips as he protested her accusation. "Ah, but how would I know that? Not many up and offer their chocolate to complete strangers, do they?" Her eyes danced in amusement as she watched him eat the piece of chocolate. "That's saddening, I was expecting you to keel over. Pity." She said playfully as he finished the piece.
"It seems so, and it is extremely obvious." She replied nonchalantly, smirking. At his question, she looked into his bag, looking at the selection. With quick reactions, she grabbed a bar of chocolate. "I do believe I shall." She told him, already opening it carefully and with careful precision. She did not wish to seem a simpleton and rip the wrapper open. She carefully bit into the chocolate, savoring the taste. At his final question, she nodded, answering, "Yes, I'm a Slytherin. You are as well, yes?"

Zane smirked. "Well technically, your not a stranger, we go to the same school, and I practically know that we're in the same house" he said as he looked at her grinning. Her giggle still echoing through his ears but he mentally shook himself to stop it.
"I make it a point that I get this much or more during Hogsmeade trips, it's not often that we get to go here" he said to her looking serious than gave in to a warm smile. He then smirked as she finally got one from the bag. Nicely picked he thought. It was one of his personal favorites, milk chocolate on the outside with creamy caramel inside with chewy white chocolate inside the caramel melt. His smirk grew even wider when he saw her expression as she savored the taste of the bar of temptation. "I can see that your enjoying yourself, not in a bad way, but it looks almost as if this is your first time to actually eat chocolate" he said chuckling.
Hearing her confirm that she was a Slytherin made him grin. "Yes and proud of it" he said jokingly with a smug expression on his face. He then held out his arm for a shake. "I do believe we haven't introduced ourselves, Zane, Zane Preston" he said as he looked at her with the well known smirk, it has become his habit though, smirking, he knew that most girls found that attractive, which made him smirk even more often. Not that I actually need extra charm he thought conceitedly, inwardly chuckling at his joke.

Aleta shrugged. “Yes, we go to the same school, but I’ve not met you before.” She said, a smirk on her lips. “That means that we are strangers, does it not?” Her eyes glistened in amusement as she watched him, enjoying their odd conversation.
Aleta raised an eyebrow. “Ah, do you? Well, that is true enough, but you’d think that you could live that long without chocolate fresh from Hogsmeade. You can always get some chocolate from the kitchens, can you not?” She questioned, a smirk upon her lips once more.
Ah, the taste of the chocolate was quite divine. She hadn’t been able to go to Hogsmeade in her third year, because her parents had still been in the Copper Isles, but she had stayed at the castle, under the supervision of the teachers that resided there even during the summer. Her fourth year, her parents did come, by leave from Queen Dove, but she hadn’t gone a lot that year, really. But this year, she decided she’d come properly, and she had her first, real taste the one time she came to Honeydukes last year.
At his words, she chewed her bottom lip. She didn’t know whether to tell him that it pretty much was her first time. Okay, it was probably around her third, having grabbed two last time, but that didn’t matter. Should she tell him that she was from the Copper Isles? Did he need to know? Not really. “Well, I hadn’t permission from my parents in my third year to come here, and I really didn’t really come a lot in fourth year. I only came here...once last year, I believe. And I hadn’t been to Hogsmeade before that, ever.” She told him, a lopsided grin on her lips.
She smiled in response to his grin. “Ah, well, that is good. I’d be quite ashamed to be seen with a Slytherin that is not proud of being one.” She informed him, smirking. She carefully placed her petite hand into his larger one, being cautious every moment. As a Spymaster’s daughter, she was always cautious. “I am called Aleta Crow.” She told him. Some people would think it was a weird way to say their name, but for her, it was literal. That was what she was called here, it was not her given name, really. “Pleasure to meet you, Zane.” She told him with a sweet smile.

Zane smirked at her, and just smiled as an agreement. He was enjoying himself, clearly he was amused and by her expression, it seems that she is also.
"No, I don't think I can, and yes I can get chocolates from the Kitchens, but they're not half as scrumptious as the ones here, and besides, the elves are annoying," he said as he smirked back at her.
"Oh? Why so?" he asked as he thought it odd that her parents hadn't allowed her to go to such a beautiful village. "I suppose you don't know you way around that much yet? I'd be happy to escort you if that is so," he said smiling, then smirking at her once more.
"Ah so we are in the same boat, yes?" he then said referring to their Slyhtherin House. She seemed very interesting, and he planned on getting to know her more. "The pleasure is all mine," he said as he got her right hand and kissed it and gently let go. He was raised to be respectful, and his manners were very polished, being that of Purebloods and all.

Aleta was indeed having much fun. She had not been to Hogsmeade but once, and she had never met this person before, but she was thouroughly enjoying herself. He was amusing, and rather cute, too. She knew that they would easily become friends, and that actually made her happy.
"Well, perhaps you should buy another, else this bar should be missed, and I guilty." She teased, taking another bite from her candybar. At his comment about the elves and their chocolate, she rolled her eyes. "So, you are picky about chocolate, huh? And elves are annoying? Oh the horrors on having something annoying in life." She grinned, laughter sparkling in her eyes.
"Ah, well, they weren't in the country at the time, and we aren't from around here, so they didn't really want me going off to some place, even if it is protected. In my old country, even if something was said to be protected, it usually wasn't as protected as they said. So, until last year when they came back and came here, they didn't let me go. And last year I really didn't feel like going."
"No, I don't know my way around here. I only got here with the help of my friends last time." She told him, smiling. "That would be lovely, thank you. I do think seeing the whole village is a good idea." Great Goddess, what am I getting myself into? Aleta thought. She had told him she lived in another country, and, most likely, he would ask her what country. She supposed she would have to trust him not to go beserk about that. Not to mention she had just accepted an offer to walk around the lovely village with him.
At his next comment, she shurgged. "I suppose so." She said, stiffly, her mind still on her previous thoughts. They were both in Slytherin, a noble house if there ever was one. Frankly, she was glad he was a Slytherin. Should he be of another House, she probably would have left then, not staying here next to an inferior person.
His next words, and actions, ripped her from her reverie. She watched as he lifted her hand, and pressed his soft lips to it. He then let go, and her hand fell to her side. Her eyes were wide, surprised. She would expect that from the Court in both Tortall and the Copper Isles, but not here. That was one thing not many did here, she knew. A blush raised in her cheeks, and she coughed lightly. "Ah, well, I did not expect such a thing. I had thought manners such as that were long dead." She murmured.

Zane looked at her smirking. He knew how he was with girls, but somehow, he was different. Not that dramatic he's changed since he first laid eyes on Aleta, no he wasn't the type of person who would be caught dead sporting such dramatic scenes and experiences, but somehow, his attitude towards girls lessened a bit. The attitude the girls thought attractive, he was always somewhat a bad boy type, though he wondered no more why girls fancy guys with that kind of personality. He just acted natural with Aleta, not the stuck-up person that he was.
"Nah, would it not be nice to remember that such pretty lady ate my chocolate?" He said as he smiled at her. "And besides, I know a lot more people who love chocolate more than I do, they'd murder me if they found out that I, had bought the last bar of chocolate," he said as he looked at the shelve which was full of fudge just minutes ago, and now, only bearing a single bar. "Why not chose finer temptation? Best get the most of my Galleons," he answered as he smirked at her once more, amused. "Have you heard how the elves talk? They can never avoid saying 'Master', and its deathly annoying, I've only known one elf who talks normally, I'll introduce her to you some time." He then added, thinking of the annoying things that elves muster.
"It's pretty obvious that your not from around here, your accent and manner of speaking is entirely different, not in a bad way though. Ah, I see, well they best not worry so much now, you have met me," he answered half-joking with her. Hey, he was there for her from now on. "Which reminds me, may I ask where you are from?" he then inquired, curious.
He smirked when she accepted his offer. "Having accepted my offer, you are aware that you have gotten yourself into a mini adventure, yes?" He asked grinning mischievously at her. He was to show her most of the villages' secrets and passageways that would lead from the village to Hogwarts itself, but of course she could not tell anyone else.
"Indeed, that some wizards, though Purebloods, have lost those actions, but my family has found it a real need to learn and practice this, and I assume yours has also?" He asked quite sure that Aleta's family was the same. "The Prestons, Malfoys, Parkinsons and Zabinis are Pureblood families that still hold this manner, I suppose you know Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson & Blaise Zabini since they are also from our house," he then added, sounding like he had memorize what he said from a book, though smiling at her as he said it.
