A small sigh escaped Aleta of Rajmuat's lips. A girl born from the newly discovered Four Isles, her being from Tortall mainly, but born in the Copper Isles, she wasn't a big fan of the new world that she was suddenly put in. She should be a squire by now, should she had her way. She would've started her page learning at 10, and be in her first year of attending a knightmaster. But no, those sailors had to be shipwrecked and had us find this whole new world, her mother sending her here.
She had advanced powers, one not controlled by a wand. It was because of her origins in Tortall as a daughter of one person who had the Sight, and her mother being the daugher of one who had the Gift, the other, the Sight. Her Sight was slightly different. It was trained for combat and spying. She could read lips, find traces of poisons, and even sense movement of combat several seconds before it happened, enough to move, as long as the person was aiming at her or someone within a mile radius of her point.
Although she had that, it did little help here. There was nothing but for her to learn odd spells and charms that provided little but entertainment for her. Her own parents could do better. Her father could do better, and he was a freaking crow! Okay, a crow-man, but a crow nontheless. Trudging to the edge of the lake, she kicked it angrily.
She hated her mother and father for this, really. Her grandmother objected to her leaving, but her mother thought it would be a wonderful experience. Oh, lovely, it was great. Not. Grumbling, she pulled a hidden dagger and threw it at a tree behind her. She wasn't looking at the tree, but she sensed movement over there. Besides, she needed to practice her aiming, the dagger was not in the center. "What do you want?" She asked, her voice dangerous, as she walked to the tree, pulling the dagger out.
Too late, she thought that perhaps it would not have been a good idea to throw the dagger. Nobody really knew she had it, but she was a Spymaster's daughter, granddaughter, and even greatgranddaughter. Of course she would have hidden weapons, but she didn't think it would be allowed. "nuts.." she murmured under her breath as she replaced the dagger. She peeked behind the tree to the person hiding there. "Uhm...you didn't see that, did you?" She asked sheepishly, quite embarrased.
((OOC: I hope y'all don't mind the use of the dagger...it's just...I thought it would be interesting...besides, it would be natural for her to have it...))
