Pansy ran out to the lawns excitedly, not caring that she was receiving weird glares from other people. It was just that, she was so happy that she had finally returned to Hogwarts after the long summer break. She sighed as she took in the features of the lawn, though to others it was plain, it was one of her favorite places at this Wizard School.
She sat down on one of the trees and opened a book, only half concentrating on it since, one, she was still overwhelmed with happiness and two, she was thinking of her friends. She did have friends who weren't Slytherin, but only a handful, and most of them were kept in secrecy.
She then sighed. Another person popped into her mind. Draco. She wondered why a lot of people thought she was crazy over him, but she really wasn't. Sure there families were close, but that didn't mean that she automatically had a thing for him. In fact, she'd be called a blood traitor if one found out whom she really fancied. One of the twins, George. She really found him interesting, probably explains why she'd cover up for them whenever one of their pranks went [or goes] array. But she knew that it just couldn't be, and even though it'd be accepted, she knew very well that it was impossible for him to like her back.
This year, she decided that she'd try her best not to be that rude person that some people seem to think of her as. It was her families' doing, she really wasn't like that, in fact one could say that somehow her real personality was the opposite. But, [she sighed again] she couldn't change that fast, most of the people from her house would hate her for doing so. Imagine her being caught laughing and having a good time with the Trio. But deep down, she knew that that was one of the things she wanted to do.
She read another page in the book then another. Stopping at times to look at the lawns.
