New countries have been founded off the coast of the United Kingdom. Or, should I say, refounded. The Island of Tortall is the main island, hosting the countries of Tortall, Scanra, Galla, Tyra, Maren, and Tusaine. Tortall is by far the largest, and most influental, countries of them all. Below lies the Island of Carthak. To the west are two archipelagos; the Copper Isles, and the Yamani Isles.
Each Island has been habitated before, but then forgotten quickly. The old British, from the Medival times, inhabitated Tortall, Galla, Tusaine, Maren, and Tyra. As the British forgot them, new gods and goddesses began to inhabit the place, and times of knights still flourish there.
Carthak and the Copper Isles are inhabited by the Africans. Egyptians, seeking more land to conquer, found Carthak, similar in climate and features, to be their home. But of course, it also was forgotten. The other Africans sought refuge in the lovely Copper Islands.
But before all this, the Yamani Islands were inhabited. The Japanese, using their large ships, became shipwrecked, and found themselves in the lovely Yamani Islands. Their customs and their words became the Yamani Islands. However, Scanra was the first to be founded. The harsh vikings found the colder climates of Scanra comforting, and found their home to be Scanra. Still savages, they attack the Tortallan border every half-decade, seeking more land for themselves.
But now, news has spread through the four Islands. More land had been found. The Gallans had found several people from Ireland upon their shores. They explained that there was more more than land that they had thought had existed, and that they were simply a small factor within the world.
Magic exists within these lands, whether it be the Gift or the Sight, both similar in many ways, simple people were not to be informed of magic. The Scottish magical school of Hogwarts offered a welcome, and also a Tournament to be held. Mages from the Four Islands, as they were known to be called, were welcomed to participate, as well as ordinary folk, to be welcomed to this new world they did not know existed.
Unbeknownst to them, during the time they were to come, disaster struck. Dumbledore was "killed," but the new Headmistress kept that invitation, knowing that they could get fantastic new followers from the Islands. Which side will they take, as they join the students of Hogwarts in this new adventure.
The people from the Four Islands were to be sorted into Hogwarts, placed in classes based on ability. Some, however, were not placed within the school, for those did not have magical abilities as all. They were, however, allowed to participate in the events. During the year, new classes for the current students of Hogwarts were formed, for those that wished to participate in the tournament, but knew not the ways of the sword or bow.
Will you be involved in the tournament? Are you a student simply wishing to partake in it, or a foreigner, somewhat afraid of this new world? Perhaps a Professor, teaching the old ways, old classes, or a new Professor, teaching the ways of weapons past? Perhaps an onlooker, interested in this new Tournament? The ways of the Islanders are different, will you adapt?
