A small rumbling could be heard coming down the empty staircases from the seventh floor. A rumbling that belonged to the stomach of Taylor Reed. The Gryffindor was out late, and wandering down the many staircases to the one place she knew would help her get to sleep soon. The kitchen. Why she was so hungry she didn't know, but she just was. And being hungry and trying to fall asleep wasn't that great a combination. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she continued her journey to the lower leveled kitchen.
Coming from the seventh floor tower of Gryffindor house, it took her a while just to get to the ground floor. A slight drag of being in that house. Seeing as Taylor wasn't one for walking when half asleep in the middle of the night, she staggered down the hallway. Smacking herself in the forehead she was more awake now, and was walking straight. She didn't want to get caught and it would help if she was fully awake.
Walking down the last flight of stairs until she got to the hall that lead to the kitchens, the girl wandered through the dark in her pajamas. A simple red teeshirt and black shorts and a pair of black and white tennis shoes. Her wand sticking into her somewhat tall socks that she had on. She glanced around her just to be sure there was no one around, even though she probably would have heard if there was. She looked straight forward again, and she knew she was almost there. So close... She thought to herself.
She wondered though, if there was anyone else up in the castle. There had to be, it was so huge. There had to be someone else wandering around somewhere. If not down here with her, then where though? She wondered. And then she heard something that proved her theory. She heard footsteps, coming from behind her. She twirled around to face the sounds. There was no one there. She took a breath and turned around again. But then she heard it. The footsteps. Perhaps it was a Slytherin. Their common room was very near the kitchens afterall. She turned on her heal again to be sure, and still there was no one there... that she could see from where she stood. "Who's there?" She whispered, but hoped they didn't hear her because if they did then she was surely in trouble. There weren't many people that dared to wander around after hours now adays, besides Slytherins.

_____________________ A little mischief could have been the reason a certain Mr. Harry Potter was out of after dark and not in the common room where he belonged. Or perhaps it could have been because of the rumbling that was causing him severe pain in his stomach region. He had skipped dinner, Hermione and Ron had pushed him to go with them, but he had too much homework to do. That was what procrastinating would do. He had ignored his stomach all night, but it was too much for him now. He needed food NOW. Normally, Harry would have gotten Ron to come with him, but he had been a little testy with him this afternoon and felt a little guilty about asking him to do Harry this favor. So Harry walked alone, down the stone steps to the Kitchens where he knew the house elves would see to that he didn't leave hungry. It seemed like the longest time before he got to the doors of the Kitchens, and it seemed he was getting hungry by every step he took. He opened the doors, expecting to find the place empty, but however, there was a girl in the room as well, probably in the same state as he was in. "Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to startle you." His emerald green eyes watched the girl. He wasn't exactly sure what house she was in, but Harry could guess. He still wore his Gryffindor robes, so there wasn't any guessing about what house he was from. "I'm Harry, Harry Potter." he nodded at the girl, then sat down at a nearby table, waiting for a house elf.

Taylor finally spotted the person that had entered, it was Harry Potter. Of course Taylor knew who that was. Everyone knew who he was. She watched him for awhile and then he spoke. "Oh, it's no problem." She told him. "Just glad you aren't someone who could get me into trouble." She smiled.
"Yeah, I know who you are. Nice to meet you though." She said. She's actually never had the pleasure of meeting him, even though she's heard about him from everyone. She never really hung around his crowd. "I'm Taylor Reed." She told him. "Never had the pleasure of meeting you." She laughed.
"So how are you on this fine night?" She asked. "Or is it morning?" She didn't know what time it was, she just knew it was very late in the night and the whole castle should be asleep at this time. But here was Taylor and Harry up in the middle of the night. "I don't really know what time it is..." She stated. She sat down near him. She was rather glad that she wasn't alone now. It was a lot better that way.
