Haha, wow. I think I'm in love with the "My soul was removed to make room for all this sarcasm" icon!
Slytherin is amazing.

But why Slytherin? That’s the thing!
I think Ravenclaw personally, they seem to be decent people getting somewhere. But with Cho Chang: She gets everything taken away from her when she lost Harry.
Luna: on the other hand stays proud and odd through out the series of movies and books, she gives Harry and the others a sense of relaxation, and oddness. As well as she can be used as a relief member of the DA. She keeps Harry ground, and mental sane, really.
Rowena: the founder seems really interesting because she died of a broken heat, mainly because of Slytherin. She then mauled in her misfortune. [as I do]
Helena Ravenclaw, her daughter is also the Fair Lady, and is based on a Queen in medieval times. And the whole Diadem thing, who was expecting that in Deathly Hallows honestly?
I vote RAVENCLAW!

Hmm...I like both Slytherin and Ravenclaw, personally. I love the evilness, sarcastic loving ness of the Slytherins, but the Ravenclaws are also great, because they are generally smart....and so far, pretty wacky too. I think i would be a Ravenclaw, personally, so I have a connection there. Gryffindor, to me, is so overrated. Everybody just LOVES Gryffindors...yeah, their characteristic is "brave" but seriously, when faced with Voldemort, most of them would generally run away. Hufflepuffs are, as they say, loyal. To me, Hufflepuff is the outcast House. You don't fit it any other House, go to Hufflepuff. That's what I think, personally. I think the Slytherins are awesome. They are cunning and stealthy, not to mention they have Draco, which right there equals love. Some people think they are dumb, but seriously, Draco is not dumb. Draco, as far as I can tell, is rather smart, as are some other Slytherins. Crabbe and Goyle are the only exceptions to that....the others are smart and cunning. Ravenclaws. They are smart, yes, but they also have wisdom. Most people associate wisdom with being smart, but that's not necessarily true. Ravenclaws aren't afraid to be their own selves, shown by our lovely Luna. Luna is crazy and simply put, out of her mind. I am extremely crazy, and do obtain pretty good grades....and would do better if I actually bothered to do most of my work...so, I think Ravenclaw fits me. Therefore, I cannot decide between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, but I think Ravenclaw. Only once in my RPing life have I played a Gryffindor and a Hufflepuff....and that was just because I needed to RP with more people....and wanted access to all the Common Rooms....

Okay, so I've already said Slytherin.
And well, that's because I really just like that house the most. On almost all the sites I'm on, I am usually a Slytherin except for the occasional Gryffindor, but they are usually only when I play a canon. With the exception of this site obviously. :P
But I think the reason I like Slytherin so much is for a few different reasons. One; simply because of the icon above that says, "My soul was removed to make room for all this sarcasm." And to make it simple, I am really sarcastic in real life. And so I usually create characters that are like me, and most of them get that sarcastic feature. Another reason would be that I generally like the smartass-ness of most Slytherins. Because well, I'm a smartass. Easy enough.
To add to all of that, I really just think that a lot of the "Slytherins" are really just misunderstood and/or mysterious. And those are qualities that I like. It makes things interesting and enjoyable. And on top of that, this house has Draco. ^^ And that just makes it even better.
Besides Slytherin, my next favourite would have to be Gryffindor. Simply because the lot of them get into trouble a lot, and I like trouble. And for the best reason of all! *drum roll* Fred and George Weasley were in that house. Lalala. ^^
Obviously my reasons for Gryffindor aren't as detailed as Slytherins, so therefore I must say now that SLYTHERIN is the best house. So there. :)

I honestly don't think that one house can be the "best". I've always thought that the four founders were like the corners of a square. The houses are like sides, if you're missing one then it's not a square at all. My theory is that each house is paralleled by another, and each house has a "sibling". Thus, you have a square! Top & Bottom, Side & Side (opposites): *Intelligent (Ravenclaw) vs Stupid (Gryffindor) * Friendly (Hufflepuff) vs Mean (Slytherin) Corner to corner (working together): * Cunning (Slytherin) and Persistent (Ravenclaw) * Loyal (Hufflepuff) and Bold (Gryffindor) I think that each house has it's own strong attributes, but it also has a hint of the other three. For example, a Slytherin is known for being cunning. The also have to be loyal enough [if only to a select few people] to get allies, intelligent enough to be able to manipulate people, and bold enough to be such jerks. In terms of the square, it's also made up of bad qualities. You have Hufflepuffs, who are so loyal they don't know what to do when a friend betrays them versus the Slytherins, who are so caught up in their "pure" pride that they can't see past their prejudices. Then there's the Ravenclaws, who are so intelligent they can't always get their head out the books (even Luna was reading the first time we met her! ^_^) versus the Gryffindors who are perpetually blurring the line between boldness and idiocy. While I sort of agree, I think that this imperfection is what makes Hufflepuff well rounded. In this house characters have a chance to grow. They aren't trying to live up to as many stereotypes. I just feel like Gryffindor and Slytherin have some much hype because of the point of view of the story. Harry couldn't have been a Slytherin because then he wouldn't have had the chance to create what I like to call the anti-prejudice triangle (pureblood, halfblood, and muggle born working together. But that's another discussing.) Harry had what it took to be a Slytherin, true. Sorting is as much of a choice as it is based on what you already have. ((Okayyy...I'll wrap it up.)) This is why I don't think any house can be the best. Each house needs the three others to define what it is. Slytherin is still my favorite though!

Everyone forget Ravenclaw when you already know that SLYTHERIN is the best and then Ravenclaw is next.

At least Ravenclaw's are cool enough to not have to put other people down because Slytherin's are so non-smart! *sticks out tongue*

RAVENCLAW. Definately better, because they hardly have to think to know how to outsmart, and outwit you, so haha. [/center]
