_____________________ Harry wasn't stupid. He knew he was the only one that would be able to stop Voldemort. he knew that people would die for him to reach that goal, but he would not allow Ginny Weasley to do that, not if he could help it. Her parents would saluter him if he put their little girl endanger, not to mention her six brothers would try if the parents didn't succeed. "Gin.." He really didn't want to waste another minute on arguing about protecting her. She should understand where he was coming from. He had watched her almost die his second year because of Voldemort. He wasn't going to allow that to happen again. He couldn't bare it. To think that they wouldn't even have the past that their holding on so tightly now, was horrific. "I know I won't be alone. I know that people will help me in any which way they can. But, Gin, bloody hell! I'm not going to sit by and let you endanger yourself because it was the 'noble' thing to do. I care about you too d**n much to risk that." Harry placed his right hand softly on the smooth skin of her cheek, and rubbed his thumb carefully. "I want you to always be safe, even if that means I'm not." He leaned in, kissing her forehead. "Do you really want to be with me when you know it could put your life endanger? Do you want to be my girlfriend?" he whispered into her skin, as he closed his eyes. Part of him wanted her to say yes, but the other part of him was screaming for her to say 'Wait, Later'. The battle within Harry Potter was raging, and not about what he must do to win victory over Voldemort, it was about Ginny. When it all came crashing down, one thought will still remain in his head. That he loved Ginny. All he wanted to do right now was hold Ginny close. To at least pretend for even a moment that they were together before the world crashed around them, before the reality of things set in. Then be with her you prat!

Ginny looked at him her eyes sympathetic. But in a way she was giving him "The Look," she glanced up, her dark blue eyes searching his. "Harry, i won't get nhurt. I'm smarter then any of them," she said knoiwing that wasn't true, but whatever. Her dark red hair fell over her shoulders, and into her face. "Yes harry, i really do want to be with you. Even if it puts my life in danger. I'm going to be fine, i always have been, haven't i?" she looked him over her dark blue eyes were on her feet. She sighed. Ginny looked around. "Harry, i know you love me, i know you don't wanna take a risk, and if you can honestly say that you can walk out of here," she sighed.
"Then say it. Say you don't want to be with me, right now. Say you don't want to be here, be with me." Ginny stood walking over to the window. Her dark blue eyes focused on the grounds. The first years in one of their first flying classes, Ginny sighed. Her dark blue eyes were on the ground. She sighed, and twisted a strand of hair from her face. She looked over at Harry, and shook her head. "Harry, if you want to, do it." she said softly. "If you want to say that it's fine, that we're fine as friends, we should stay as friends, then say it." hse said her voice soft.
Her sea blue eyes were full of understanding...and pain, and sorrow. She looked away from Harry back to the grounds yet again. Her eyes drifted over to the Forbidden Forest. memories...She remembered having to face a detention, with Hagrid. She shuddered. She hated the forest. Hated it. She leaned against the window, undsure of what to say next. Her bag still rested on her shoulder. Ginny looked back at Harry, silently. Silently. That was all she knew lately.

_____________________ Can someone really put the person they love in danger for the pursuit of happiness? It seemed like Ginny was asking, no, telling him to do that. And yes, he knew that if they actually became more than friends once more, she would be protected, he would see you that. But being protected wouldn't guarantee that she would be safe. He had seen perfectly good wizards be brought down by Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Harry looked at Ginny quite helpless. He was to the point now where he was going to ask her to make his decision for him. He was tired of trying to figure out a girls feelings or what they thought. They seemed to never say what they meant. He knew that she had told him that she would be fine being friends with him, but he knew she'd be mad if it truly ended that way. But, again, that was not what she said would happen. He watched her as she laid into him. He didn't say a word, just listened. She walked away from him. That was it. He watched her for a few moment, unable to move. Then she looked at him, she looked at him in that awful sad tone of hers. Just like when he had told her that they needed to be 'just friends' at Dumbledore's funeral. "d**n it Ginny." He walked over to her, pulling her into his arms. "I want to be with you." he kissed her more urgently than last, but none-the-more passionate. Kissing her cheek, then her neck, he lifted his head a bit, whispering her ear. "Please be mine." He knew she already had him, body and soul.
