Injured. Go figure. I mean she was the typical Weasley. Blood red hair, hand-me down clothes. Robes & all tattered books included. She wore lose baggy blue jeans, with an old tee from her brother. her name was Ginerva "Ginny" Weasley. She tied her hair back losely. She looked at her right wrist, she could barely move it. Her dark blue eyes were on her shoes. She sighed. Ginny focused on the door madam pomfrey was in. She used her un-injured arm, grabbing for her wand, She hid it beneath her pillow. With the Carrow's and Lestrange running things, Ginny knew she wouldn't have much chance.
Ginny looked at her feet, she didn't like getting hurt. Ever. But this was by stupidity. Some stupid Slytherin caused Ginny to fight back, and they sprained or broke her wrist, they left with a bad limp and a bloody nose. She smirked at the memory. She hadn't seen anyone lately. She was worried. She was constantly manuvering around the sight of Carrow 1 & 2, and Lestrange. She could get her ass kicked pretty bad if she saw any of them.
Ginny groaned as she tried to flex her wrist. Madam Pomfrey came back out. "Relax Ms. Weasley. Broken Bones are nothing i can't handle." she smiled warmly at Ginny who nodded She knew it, just wished she had Harry, Hermione or even her brother around with her. She needed someone, and it seemed like she had no one. Go figure. Ginny was the youngest, and she was the only one who would probably be left at Hogwarts, to take care of Merlins Order and all that. She was worried, in all honestly. Worried.

_____________________ Was it destiny that brought Harry to the Hospital Wing that day? It could have been. One of his Quidditch players had gotten injured, and he had to escort them up to the Hospital Wing. Harry had been practicing with them, kind of a one-on-one practice, and they had been clumsy when dodging a bugler. They were hit squarely on the head, and fell from their broom. Harry had to carry them all the way up to the wing unconscious. If was destiny or not, Harry was surprised to see his ex-girlfriend laying in a bed at the Hospital Wing getting treated. he stood in the doorway for a few moments, just staring in 'aw' that Ginny was here without any of the Weasley's around her, worrying over her. Then a mixture of guilt and worry spread over him. He wanted to be with her, his heart ached for it, but it wasn't the right time. Ginny had understood that, or at least he thought she did. He hoped she was alright, and made up his mind when he had dropped the unconscious being in his arms, he would join her. After a few minutes talking to someone about what had happened, Harry left them to join Ginny. At first he didn't say anything, he just stared at her. She was becoming more and more beautiful each and every day, but he knew it wouldn't be wise for them to be together until Voldemort was stopped. "Hi." he said quietly, as he walked closer to her. "Are you ok?" '

Ginny looked up seeing Harry. Wonderful. She thought, her dark blue eyes on the ground. She sighed. As he spoke to her, Ginny looked away. Too much pain was going threw her head & heart. Ginny sighed, and shrugged. "Just fine, thank you." she said quickly. Her eyes were on her feet. She rolled her shoulder, and her something crack on her arm, probably her wrist, since it hurt really bad. She noticed that Harry had been there for a while. She just remained silent. She looked at Harry and quickly looked away. What was she supposed to say. Oh hey, how are you ex? That'd hurt way to much for her to even say anything.
Ginny looked at Harry, again. "So is it always going to be this way?" she asked him softly. She didn't even know how those words managed to come out, they just did. She put a hand to her head. Bloody Hell, Gin. Are you trying to get a fight? Maybe she was. She was frustrated, hurt, and upset. She wasn't sure how else to get this out. She needed to do something. And she didn't know what.
Ginny looked back at Harry, again. She sighed her dark blue eyes filling with tears, she looked away quickly brushing them out of her eyes. She was not going to let him see her cry. She sighed, turning so she was fully away from him. Her back to him. Her wrist hurt like bloody hell, and She wanted to get out of here, and just run, like normal. She sighed brushing another strand of dark red hair from her face. yet again.

_____________________ He kind of figured Ginny wouldn't be happy to see him, since from Ron's words, he had broken her heart. Why didn't he just leave her alone? It would have been easier for the both of them. Harry wouldn't feel completely like a jerk, and Ginny wouldn't be so uncomfortable. He nodded to her when she answered him, knowing that was not all the red head wanted to say to him. He had been putting off their meeting for the longest while, trying not to be the object of that temper he knew she had. But what she said next startled him, and he was so surprised that it took him a minute to reply. He understood what she meant. This comfortable feeling, this wanting to be anywhere but where he was right now. All he wanted to do was run away, but his heart wouldn't let him. Harry looked her in her blue eyes, he wanted her to understand why he had to end things. But she didn't. He knew. "Ginny...I" he broke off. Taking a breath he continued. "I hope not Ginny." he said, getting quiet afterwards. Lord he hoped not. He wanted to be with her, God knows he did. "Ginny, I still want to be friends. We just... " we just can't be together right now. The words hurt if he didn't say them. "I wish things could have been different Ginny, I really wish they could have been." We could've had ages... months... years maybe

Ginny looked outraged as he spoke. "Harry! when we broke up last year, i asked you if it was something to do with nobelity! I love you harry, i never lied about taht, and i still haven't!" she shouted at him, her arm at her side. "It's always going to be like this, until Voldemort is stopped. Or until you are killed. And i don't want it to be the second one! Bloody hell, Harry. You're my brother's best friend, and my best friends, best friend. I can't-- Just, ugh!" she exploded. She walked away from him, if her hair were fire it would be up at an all time high. She was so angry with the boy. Just incredibly pissed. Ginny walked away outside in the corridor holding her head, bending down. Her head hurt, her arm did, and so did her stomach. She was actually literally starting to believe she was heartbroken.
Ginny sighed, feeling her heart thudding. She loved Harry. She always had. Though numerous times, she claimed she wasn't she knew that was a lie. Ginny looked back at the door. She wanted just one more night with Harry, the way things were before they ended it. She knew it was noble, she knew it was for her own good, but for some reason, it didn't matter to her. She wanted to be at Harry's side, with harry, the girl that he could say "That's Her." to all his friends But she knew she was stupid for thinking that. She sighed, looking at her feet. Why me? she thought softly.
Ginny And Harry were not going to happen. Not now. But who was to say that Harry was going to be the one to live? she hoped to god he would, but what happened if he didn't. She felt tears form in her eyes. She like harry, most likely had been putting off seeing him. She knew all this was coming but, god it hurt so bad.Ginny wanted to go hide under a blanket and wallow for a long time. SHe sighed her dark blue eyes on the door again. Regaining her composure, she ran her hand to the locket around her neck. She moved it around on the chain. it had a picture of the entire weasley family + Harry. She sighed. Leaning against the wall.
Ginny's hair fell into her face again. She didn't know what to say, or do. She wanted to go back to Harry. Tell him what she really thought, what she wanted to do, and that she was going to be at his side during this hole thing, and nothing could stop her..But could something stop her? Possibly. She didn't think so, but nothings impossible. Nothing.

_____________________ Right. He had pissed her off. He knew it before he had said the words to her. His heart ached, as a matter of fact, his whole body ached from it. Could he get away with being with her? Could he hide the fact that he was in love with her? Would that protect her from Voldemort? At that moment, Harry knew if Voldemort wanted to read his mind, he would know insistently that Ginny was the love of Harry's life. He was crap at Legilimenacy, and Voldemort could of had him by now. But Harry knew that if he was seen caring for her in public, it would be a greater chance that she would be taken from him, just like his parents. For once in his life, Harry didn't know what to say to her. He watched her walk away. Half of him wanted to go after her, the other half believed that it was truly the best thing for her. "Ginny, I love you...I don't want to loose you." he quietly said as she walked off. His words were lost in her steps. He stood there, alone. All he heard was Madam Pomfrey yelling at the boy he brought up there. Cursing a himself, Harry knew that he had to give her her space, even if Harry did want to rush out the room, scoop her up in his arms, kiss her and hold her until Voldemort himself came to end Harry's life. But he wanted to protect her. What good was it to be with her when she would be dead? They would be together... afterwardsCome back, Gin.

Ginny regained her composure. She shoved open the door, jumping quite a few feet in the air, hearing Madam Pomfrey. She walked towards Harry, silently ducking down to get her book and her bag. She looked at Harry, pain showing all over her face. She loved him she loved him to death. But there wasn't anything she could say not then, or now. Ginny remembered the first kiss she shared with harry Sheremembered it like it was the day before She didn't know what to say. "Harry..." she whispered softly. She looked at him, her eyes soft. She didn't know exactly what to say. "I Don't Know. I just don't. I know you want to keep me safe, but you can't always protect me I'm not the little girl i was way back then. And I will NOT let you walk into this alone," she whispered standing in front of him taking his hands.
"I Love You, Harry." she whispered softly. Ginny's red hair fell into her face as she looked down at him. "And i will be at your side during all of whats to come." she said again, softly. Ginny knew he was trying to protect her, but exactly what she said was true. She wasn't eleven. She didn't always need saving. She was after all, sixteen. She could take care of herself, mostly. And if she couldn't she had a lot of people behind her, just as he did, just as hermione did and just as Ron, Tonks, or any of them did. She was safe, and she wasn't going to let him walk in alone. She was sure no one else would either.
She looked at him, her dark eyes looking into his emerald ones. "I won't let you." she whispered sitting half way on the bed, still nervous, still upset, still worried, still everything emotionally confused. And in a way, it was Poetically Pathetic. She remembered seeing him for the first time, and how quickly she fell for him. She remembered getting to fired up when another girl would talk about him. it bothered her so.

_____________________ Harry stared at the door, praying that Gin would come back. He hadn't mean to upset her. Life could be cruel, and mostly it was cruel to him. He had lost his parents, his godfather... and even if had not lost Ginny, he sure wasn't able to be with her. "Forgive me Gin." he whispered, knowing she wouldn't be able to hear him. He really wanted to disregard his protectiveness and be happy for once, like he had been when they had been together. Like he had lived in another persons life for a bit. To his surprise, Ginny walked back in the room, picking up her book and bag. He didn't say a word, just looked at her. But she spoke and he felt his walls melt away. She knew she would break him, eventually. He listened to her, and the more he did so, the more he wanted to pulled her into him, and feel her lips against his. But would the Headmistress' be watching, or one of the Carrows? Harry couldn't risk it, could he? "Gin, I love you too. But it's my job to kill him. I have to do that alone. I can never let you, Hermione, Ron or anyone else risk their life for that. Never. But God knows I want to be with you Ginny. I want to be able to hold you. To know that your alright. To protect you. But I can't do that if you're..." he trailed off. She would get the picture. Dead. Gin. Dead.

"Harry," she said sharply. She looked at him. "Listen to me. Non of us, i mean it, NON of us, are going to let you go into that battle alone. Me, hermione, ron no one is letting you face him, alone. No one. Believe me. Harry, you can't do that on your own. And I'm so afraid that's going to be your down fall," she whispered softly. "Do you remember the Department of Mysteries?" she looked at her feet. "When you needed us to face those death eaters with you, and before that when you helped us learn how to handle them? And when we produced the Patronus? We didn't do that alone, and neither did you. We can handle ourselves, and i know you can. But baby, you're not facing them alone, that is your death calling, and i don't want that, because i love you." she whispered.
"And I'm not going to die. And we can be together, now and after. Because we are both going to be alive afterwards," she whispered. "I promise." Ginn'ys dark eyes were on his. "In the department, we were all together then, and we are still all together. You know why? because that's what we are. Friends, you're all apart of my life, just as much as we are of yours." she said her voice so soft, and sweet. "I walked out of their with a broken ankle, and this time i'm not going to walk out with anything worse. I promise you." she said reasuringly.
"You're not going to lose me, you didn't then and won't now." she whispered leaning over hugging him, feeling his body against hers. She missed his touch She missed him. She felt his body heat and it made her a lot warmer, since she was in a tee shirt and jeans. She remained in the embrace, whether or not he hugged back, she just sat there hugging him. No longer missing him.

_____________________ What was he to do? It was the same old story with the two of them. He loved her. She loved him. He wanted to protect her. She wanted to give her life to save him. He wanted to kiss her. But was afraid she would allow it, and he wouldn't allow himself the pleasure. He watched her, knowing what he had said had upset her. But she spoke, maybe in a yelling sort of way, but at least she was talking to him. He understood where she was coming from. Every word. So much so, that his heart seemed to skip when she leaned into him to hug him. He wrapped his arms around her waist, remembering the times they had shared before. He breathed in her scent. Until now, Harry hadn't realized just how much he missed her. "Gin..." he trailed off, before snuggling his head in the nap of her neck. He could stay there forever and be happy. But the world wouldn't allow it. Voldemort wouldn't allow it. He had to be stopped, and Harry was the only person that could. "God Gin...I've missed you." he mumbled. He gently kissed her neck, and grinned as he remembered the days at the lake with her. Just kiss her already.

She smiled as he hugged her back, she remained there, as he said her name, and then went quiet again. She only smiled. As he kissed her kneck memories of the lake popped into her head. She smiled softly, leaning into him. Ginny leaned back her arms still around him. "I missed you too." she whispered. She glanced around quickly, a sweep of the room. No teacher, no no one. She leaned in and brushed her lips against his, finally realizing that it felt like Ginny was going threw "Harry-Withdrawl." (hehe.) so to speak of course. Ginny sighed leaning against the bed. "You're not going into this alone. Get over it," she smiled. It showed what a Weasley she was. Stubborn, Mischevious, Brilliant. All of that, and more. She smiled at him, and hugged him tightly.
She was afraid that if she let go of him, she would lose him yet again. She was so afraid. Gin had missed him so much. Her fiery attitude of course, didn't let it show, unless she was sleeping, and usually with that, she was just waking up from nightmares of death, and harry dying and ron and hermione. Ginny stayed there snuggled against him, his scent filling her nose. She smiled as she smelled him. THis was what she loved. She loved him, and being near him, and feeling safe within his arms. She could only smile as he told her he missed her.
Ginny looked up at him. "I Love You." she whispered, her blue eyes on the ground now. She didn't want to let go, and if she could help it, she wasn't going to. She was going to be there for him, and her brother and hermione. She was going to be there fighting by his side, because she loved him, and she loved the life she hda...well most of it. Ginny's long red hair fell into her eyes.

_____________________ It was somewhat of a dream to be there with Ginny. Was it reality? Harry had to remember. But with her body close to his, he was lost in her. Lost in thoughts of being with her. What did their future consist of? Harry wasn't sure...nor did he really want to know at this point. He was having too much fun right here in the present. Pressing himself tightly against her, as to say he wasn't letting her go, even if she fought it, Harry leaned his head back so he could see her face. At that moment, he felt her lips. God it seemed like a century, and just as he would deepen the kiss, she pulled away. Way too short for his taste, and putting a mental note, he brushed that aside for later as Ginny began to speak. He nodded at her, knowing that his views would change, no matter how she wanted them to. But it was good to be in her presence and Harry would give anything in the world for them never to be apart again. But it just wouldn't work out that way. "I love you too." he whispered, before he pulled himself against her once again. His lips crashing against hers. God he had missed this, and if he could help it, he wasn't stopping anytime soon. He wrapped his arms tighter around her waste, and tilted his head a little to the side so he could deepen the kiss. Harry never felt more alive then at that moment. But the reality was that Harry was stalling. The reality was that Ginny and him couldn't be together until Voldemort was dead, at least safely. But Ginny's words rung in his ears, even while he was kissing her. 'I can take of myself.' She certainly has done that, so why couldn't he be with her.... was he slowly breaking his own rule. Rules were meant to be broken.

Ginny smiled against Harry. And as he kissed her again, she gave in, kissing back, with such passion. She never wanted this to end. She never ever did. She remained against Harry, her heart racing at just his touch. Ginny's dark blue eyes shut as they kissed, happily. This was what she wanted, now and forever. She loved this, loved him. She smiled stopping the kiss resting her forhead against his. "Harry, believe me, you're not going to be alone in this. I won't let you. No one will. You have a place in this world, with us, as our friend, as so much more then that." she whispered brushing her lips against his again. She smiled softly. "You are not, and never will be alone." she said hugging him, but realizing her arm, she jumped a little.
She smiled softly at Harry. She didn't have anything else to say. She was really tired, and soar. She continued to have memories fly threw her head, and remembered how their touch had caused sparks. Remembering how much she'd crushed on him for years, and years. But constantly denied it. Despite prodding of her brother, her friends. She continuously ignored the feelings. THough they always remained.
Jealousy, she knew last year was key to Harry..He hadn't liked she and Michael Corner together, and as bad as it was, Gin had used it against him. She sighed. Remembering that. She looked at his emerald green eyes. God she loved his eyes. She loved his eyes, his smell, his touch, his everything. She leaned against him, feeling so safe, so happy Not wanting to be anywhere but there. She wanted to stay right here in his arms, forever. If only that could happen. But She knew it could not. Not yet anyways. She only wished it could...
Remember, I love you...

_____________________ It would be so easy just to tell her that he would disregard everything just to be with her. It would be so easy just to tell her that he could allow her to risk her own life in order for them to be together. And he would if he didn't care for her so d**n much. But he did, which is why they were stuck at a crossroad. Does Harry hold fast to his word or break it, risking both of their lives, in order to be happy? When she broke the kiss, he was still in his daze. She was so beautiful, he had wanted this to last forever. He knew that he would never be alone, they too would risk their lives. Ron and Hermione had chosen that a long time ago. But he could not allow the person that he loved nor cared about most in this world to do the same. But it was foolish to think that Ginerva Weasley would just sit on the sidelines. He felt her jump within his arms, and pulled her forward, a confused look on his face. "Are you ok?" he asked, wondering if he had hurt her, which was the last thing he wanted to do. Tilting his head ti look at her better, he sighed. "Gin, I know I'm not alone. I have you...Ron...Hermione...basically the whole Order. But I don't want to lose you. I've lost so much that I love already." It was true... his parents... Sirus... it would kill him if Ginny was next. "But enough of this. The time will come shortly when I must face him, until then, I will enjoy your company, whether you are my girlfriend or not." They had had some history. Who would have know that Hermione's advice to her would lead Harry into noticing her more, especially when she was with Dean. The monster in his chest peeked his head up, but when Harry pulled Ginny close against him, it settled down back into a slumber. He would protect her, even if it cost his life. She knew that. Was that what she was afraid of, losing him? If that was the case, their feelings were the same. "Ginny... I want to be with you. I want to call you my girlfriend. I want to marry you, eventually. But I don't know..." Should he keep putting it off until Voldemort is killed, or say the hell with it, and make both of them happy right now? "How can I ask you to be with me when we both know it could mean each others life?" I don't want to lose you, Gin.

She looked at Harry, how could he not understand what she was saying? Being with Harry was all she wanted, and if she, or ron, or anyone else died, it would be because they were defending Harry, and because Harry was the only person that they needed alive. To save the rest of the bloody world. Ginny ran a hand threw his hair. She leaned her head on his shoulder forever wanting to stay there, but as both knew time would not permit. Ginny sighed, "I'm fine, but you must understand Harry, if one of the others, including myself is to die deffending you, then it's noble, because you're the one lperson that needs to stay alive, don't you understand? You're the one that needs to face him, whether or not any of us die isn't important as long as you're alive. And believe me, i don't plan on dying just yet."
She smiled truthfully at Harry, "And whether we're together or not, is up to you. But hell, Harry i'll be okay, you've just got to trust me." she was thinking of Riddle's cousin Aureila and Brielle. She smirked a little bit at the thought. She looked back at Harry. "I am not and will NOT sit on the side, just because you say too. I'm going to be there, fighting. And i don't want you to worry about me. I can handle myself, and if it comes to a point where i need someone the whole ORDER itself will be there And i'm going to be fine. You just worry about killing you-know-who." she looked around, her eyes soft and then falling back meaningfully on the boy Ginny was totally in love with. She smiled at him, softly. As normal. The same smile, that he'd seen seven years ago at the train station.
Of course, that naive little girl was gone. Well mostly. Ginny looked at him, leaning against him. "I want to be with you, and if it comes to a point where we have to fight You-Know-Who, then believe me i'll be fine, and you just need to focus on him. No one else. Let us handle everything else, and you go after Voldemort..." she whispered his name the name mad eher nervous and jumpy. Ginny sighed, hugging him. She didn't know what else to tell him. But he needed to face the fact, Ginny was NOT going to sit by and lose him or anyone else. She wouldn't allow it, and she would be fighting by his side. she loved him.
