'Cause nothin' lasts forever and we both know hearts can change As they neared the lake, Julia let go of Elric's hand and dashed off towards the dock on the lake. Her heeled boots clanked on the wood as she reached closer and closer to the edge before she finally stopped and inhaled the fresh, clean air. Kneeling down, she unzipped both boots and placed them neatly at the edge of the dock. She peeked into the water and smiled at her reflection. Good Merlin, it felt like it had been ages since she done this. She peeked over her shoulder to make sure he was still following, she sure as hell wasn't going to do this alone, but was a willing person to be the first to jump in. She pulled down her jeans, revealing some black full-cover underwear, and ripped off her top, a black, solid, bra revealed. If people didn't know any better, it appeared as though she were wearing a black bikini, which was why she felt bold enough to act out on this. Bitting her lip between her grin, she took a couple of steps backwards and fell completely into the lake. The icy water was a rush, and she kicked herself to the surface, pulling her wet hair out of her face. For a moment she felt frozen, before her body began to grow accustomed to the change in temperature. "Hurry up, lazy-goose!" She hollored out at him, her voice ringing merrily across the dock at him. "The water is perfect."

Elric stalked across the dock and laughed. "You did not just call me lazy?" He joked. He took his shoes and socks off and folded them neatly and then took his cloak and sweater off. He beamed her a small smile. He untied his tie and tossed it on his clothes and slid his pants off revealing his boxers. He slowly unbuttoned his shirt. As he did so a very, very, very athletic body appeared. He tossed his shirt to the side and jumped in.
He backstroked and then swam over to her. "Perfect." He smiled.

He kept her picture on his wall, went half-crazy now and then You did not just call me lazy? The girl shrugged, bringing her finger to her chin and acted as though she were trying really hard to remember. "Um. No, I think I did," she said, her eyes gleaming brightly. Julia swallowed hard as she watched him unbutton his shirt, for a second there, she had completely spaced she was swimming in the lake. She could feel herself flush, slightly, as he finally undid the last button and take off his shirt. It wasn't until he jumped into the water, and she felt the water splash on her, did she snap back into reality. PerfectShe giggled. "Yeah, well, I certainly know how to pick 'em." She grinned, splashing a little water his direction. She didn't pay any attention to the students who were pointing their direction. After all, what business was it of theirs? She gasped, slightly, feeling a fish swim past her leg, it's slimy scales rubbing against her skin. "Oh, ew!" She squeeked, her arms using the water to push her back slightly. She smiled, sheepishly at him. "I've never been a fan of fish," she admitted.

Elric laughed and slipped his arms around her. "No need to be afraid, I'm here." He beamed a charming smile. He blushed and pulled away gently. "Better a fish then a giant monster." He smiled.

Whatever makes you happy, whatever you want "Otherwise you'd run?" She teased, nudging him slighly. She doubted it. It was a good thing they weren't deep enough for the squid to notice, or hell.. Those Merpeople. She didn't know about Strider, but Julia didn't make a habit of packing Gillyweed with her everytime she thought a swim would be nice. No big deal. What really mattered was the here and now, right? Right now they were having fun. Her mind wandered towards the greenhouses for a moment, that dried up... Oh, ew. Another fish. She refrained from squealing again, instead got closer to him. He seemed to be a fish repellant. It worked for her. Not only that, but when he held her, a piece of her wanted him to stay a little longer than he did. The lake, for housing what it did, was surprisingly clean. Julia knew it, but it was weird being able to see her toes sinking into the sand so perfectly. She mushed her toes in it, kicking up some of the sand and burying her feet under a dirt cloud. She was going to need a long shower after this, but first.. "I do hope this isn't the first time you've taken your clothes off to swim in here," she winked. "It would be a shame if I was your first 'partner in crime,' as it were."

Elric blushed softly and held her as she moved to him. "First time actually taking my clothes off anywhere." He smiled softly. He rested his head on her shoulder. And slipped his arms around her waist, being careful not to make any offensive gestures.

I want to hear who broke my faith in all these years Julia caught her breath as he wrapped his arms around her. It wasn't as though she wasn't used to things like that happening, hell, with Jerimiah... She bowed her head a little, feeling him rest his head on her shoulders. The sound of water flooded her ears "Is that so?" She asked, half tempted to turn around and completely face him, but enjoying the feeling of his arms wrapped around her. "I'm happy you were willing to break out of that little shell, then."

Elric smiled, "I'm glad I broke out to." His smile widened, tempted to kiss her cheek, but re-frained. This is the life he wanted, that and being an enthroned Prince. He felt an attraction for Julia. But was to much of a coward to admit it, especially as if Aiyanna found out, she would be hysterically.

Take away the pain, I create my paradise Julia slightly shook her head at his comment, and rolled her eyes. Part of her was a bit disappointed he couldn't see her do that, but what did it really matter? He was bold, to say the least, with physical flirtation... His lips didn't move too well, though. He seemed quiet, and she questioned that. Granted, the boy did admit something to her that he, obviously, wasn't too proud of. Part of her could understand that, she guessed so at least, part of her was very confused at his - what would it be? - shame? In either case, she pulled away from him enough to twist herself to completely face him. "So what made me so lucky as to be the patron of your shell breaking activities?" She asked, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth. She pulled some of her wet hair over her shoulder and looked away from him, out towards the forest. That place frightened her. She had heard of the giant spiders that resided deep inside... the thought sent a quick chill down her spine and she shuddered. She turned back to Elric, "Or is this a line you use on all your girl-formed toys?"

Elric looked deep into her eyes and shook his head. "No, I've just never really had any true friends. I get along with everybody, but my so called friends would always brag and tell people what I am. Thats how nearly the whole school knows. Well...erm...at least all of Slytherin house knows. They want me to use my power, my authority. To let people know that I'm better then them." He looked at her, "Sounds like a Slytherin thing." He sighed and frowned gently.
"I dont want to do that, they think of me as a pathetic King to be." He gently buried his face into her shoulder. "My theory has always worked, at least in my country. To be a great King or Queen is to be one with the people, understand what the people are going through. They make up the majority even the King holds all power."

'Cause the world around you keeps on movin', movin' Julia understood what he was trying to say. It wasn't as though he was speaking a foriegn language to her. She might not be royalty, but she understood the basic's of what those people had to endure. The pressure's and troubles they faced, it wasn't really a life she ever imagined she'd be too keen to. "You're not pathetic." It was all she could muster for a moment. No, he was too genuine to be pathetic. She inhaled, the water suddenly beginning to feel fridged. "A king with heart rules justly. You'll make your people happy, Elric." It was true. At least, that's what she thought. Like stated above, she understood the basics. She had no right to completely imply she knew what she was talking about. But wasn't that what he just said? Maybe not in the same words, but he did state he cared about his people, his place. "And your little Slytherin buddies don't..." She stopped herself. No, that wasn't true at all. They knew exactly what they were doing, those Slytherin's... The Head Mistress... He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named... The water was ice. She felt frozen, as her eyes rimmed with frightened tears.

Elric smiled, "Thank you Julia-" He cut off, he could see his breath. He felt very cold. He jerked his head around to look around for the source. He held onto Julia, determined not to let anything happen to her.

These days it always seems so hard, when it started it came easy She looked at him. Whatever it was, it wasn't something they should tamper with. Outside of the lake, the students appeared unaffected... "Maybe we should hop on the dock?" She asked, hugging herself beneath his hugging her. "The water's... colder than I thought it was." It was the only logical thing she could think of. Couldn't really be much else, just their bodies letting them know the water dropped its temperature a few degree's. Not really a big deal. She pushed herself away from him, "I think it's best. Get dressed. I doubt many people are too happy with seeing me half naked." She winked at him, hoping her body wasn't really showing how cold she was. Grabbing on to the edge of the dock, she pulled herself out of the water and sat. The air outside was still warm. That was a good sign.. right? She tilted her head to her right and began to ring out her hair. Nothing a simple charm couldn't fix. Grabbing her cllothes, she placed her shirt on first, and stood up to hop into her jeans. Her wet legs gave her a little difficulty, but after a few comical attempts at pulling the fabric up, she succeeded. She looked at him, "You'll get hypothermia if you stay in too long." She wasn't going to let him know how frightened she was, how frighted she still was. It was a little embarrassing, and she'd have to find out if the creatures in the lake had that kind of power, or if it was something far worse. First the dried plant, now this... What the hell was going on?

Elric jumped out of the lake and gave a small shiver, he blushed lightly as his exposed body was walking toward her where his clothes lay. He muttered a few spells and was dry, spick, span and clean in a matter of minutes. "That was creepy." He admitted. He looked at her and sensed her fear. He went to her and wrapped his arms around her. "I would never let any harm come to you Juila."

You want more fans, I want more stage She smiled at him, "I can take care of myself," she said, looking out across the lake. Oh, well. Whatever was happening wasn't anything she'd figure out anytime soon. She could deal with that. What she wasn't took happy about was having to figure what she could toss out in possible conclusions. She'd have to start with that plant. Some plants, actually, did have an affect on things around them... Some stretched as far as a few killometers. "But thank you," she quickly added, not meaning to offend him. She pulled out from his arms, her being still wet and him being nice and dry, she didn't want him to have to re-charm himself. Standing, she shook her head, brushing her hair with her fingers. She'd let herself dry up on her way to the Ravenclaw Tower. Looking up at the sun, she almost gasped. They had been hanging around each other for nearly an hour! Granted, it isn't an ample amount of time, but it was enough for her to worry a little. She had a bit of plant research to do before classes started again. Turning to Elric, she offered an apologetic smile, "This was fun, thank you. But I have some... studying... I need to do. You know us Ravenclaws, gotta get that extra research in before we hop on to our classes. What can I say? It's a quirk."
