Cassandra walked past lots of students each of them rushing to get to their common rooms. She laughed mostly to herself as she continued with her slow paced walk. She would occasionally dig into the pockets of her Hufflepuff robe and take out the necklace that she had since birth. She couldn't help what play with it out of habit.
She finally arrived at her common room, Saying the new password as she slipped past the portrait. She glanced around not really seeing anyone. she decided to stay down here a bit before she made her way up to her dorm. She walked over to the book shelf quickly scanning each title before she grabbed on flipping it to the first page and began to read. Before she even reached the couch.

Victoria got up immeadiatly as soon as the new Headmistress dismissed them. It was probably the worst start of the term feast she had ever had since arriving at Hogwarts. Without DUmbledore here, things seemed a little less bright. It was a sad thought to think about, but it was hard to not think about it. He wouldn't ever be at another feast, or wouldn't ever breath again, or do anything else! Victoria shuddered as she exited the Great Hall. It had also been bad weather since arriving. Maybe the whole presence of Bellatrix was the cause of everything. Victoria went with that idea and began to make her way to the common room already well ahead of all of her friends.
She would've stayed where she was and waited for them, but she was really cold and wanted to get some warmer clothes on. She also wanted to be in the common room where she felt safer. Being out in the corridors made her feel exposed and vunerable to anybody. Hogwarts was definatly not safe anymore and Victoria felt a little scared. She definitly wasn't one to be brave. That's obviously why she wasn't sorted into Gryffindor either. She liked Hufflepuff and wouldn't want to be in any other house.
After walking for awhile, Victoria arrived at the entrance to the Hufflepuff Common Room. She said the new password and the portrait door swung open and Victoria entered the common room. It was a little empty, but Victoria figured people were stilling making their way to the common room anyways. She walked in a little further and looked around. She was sure she could name every person in the common room right now and Victoria smirked. It was good to know that and know that they wouldn't go behind her back. That was another good thing about being a Hufflepuff. They were so loyal and friendly and nothing like those Slytherins. If she were a Slytherin, she was sure she wouldn't have any friends in that house. Everybody seemed like they had something up their sleeves and were always trying to humiliate one another. It was just crazy.
She then saw a certain someone on a couch reading a book. 'Typical Cassie.' Victoria thought while smiling. She approached Cassandra and sat down next to her and brought her legs close to her so she could hug them close to her body. She was really cold and Victoria looked out the window for a brief second and then turned her attention back to Cassandra. "Hey Cassie." Victoria greeted her with a white smile. "Weird start to the year, huh?" Victoria mentioned. [/size][/blockquote]

She continued reading her book, as her mind wandered on about what had happened during their arrival. It was bit surprising that their new Headmistress was so...well so mean and bitter. She had been busy fixing her robes and tying her hair up as she had been walking up to the common room. She had left sort of early but then again it was sort of natural for her to be alone and with a book.
She had watched the other students chat and mingle with other by her table, but some how she managed to keep to herself and just read her book. She must of left the Great hall a bit early. There was no one in sight. If other students were out here, they were probably way ahead of her already in there common rooms. She had left her mind wander again think how much different it was going to be this year if the rules among other things were so ridiculously changed. She frowned slightly as she made her way up the stairs humming to herself as she made her way to the Hufflepuff Common room.
That was a couple of minutes after she had walked in to find that she was like the first person to be in there. She looked at the stairs and wondered if she should unpack first since classes would be the first thing in the morning or if she would be lazy for once and just finish the book that she had brought with her. She sighed and made her way to the couch.
She glanced up hearing the door open and footsteps coming into the common room. She avoided the temptation to look up knowing she would almost positively lose her spot. Only did she look up when she felt someone sit next to her and comment about what had happened earlier."'Hey Vicky."She smiled at her and nodded her head at her comment. "Ugh, tell me about."She said rolling her eyes softly.
