Taylor was looking for books. Books she didn't want. Who would want to continue school when it was just going to be trouble? Taylor sure didn't. With the new headmistress, Taylor was in sure trouble. And so were many other kids in the school. This year sure wasn't going to be pleasant. And it didn't help that Taylor liked to screw around during school. She liked to laugh and have fun and joke around and prank people. It was fun. And this year it was going to be hard to do that.
Sighing she took a deep breathe and grabbed a book off a shelf that she needed. Why did she even keep taking the classes she didn't need to anymore. It's not like she was going to get a job that you need to be smart in. But she did want to be an Auror. But with her grades, she didn't think it would happen. Well, she did have her strong subjects, but that was only two. Rather than the ones she really needed. She sighed again searching around for the books she needed and also for some that would be of interest to her.
The store was crowded, but not as crowded as it usually was. This year was a little off, and it was weird being in Flourish and Blotts where it wasn't packed. She looked around, searching for a familiar face. Or just someone that looked interesting. She needed someone to talk to. Her parents were to lazy to go with her, and well she honestly didn't need or want them to go with her. She was seventeen after all. She saw a couple of people she knew, but none that were interesting to talk to. She hoped that somebody would soon enter or walk into her view so she could talk to someone. It was always lonely over the summer for her. Her parents hardly allowed her to do anything because they always thought she got into way too much trouble so they didn't want it to happen during summer too. So it was always just her and her parents or a friend when she secretly apparated away from her house.

Kaori's eyes widen as she walked into the shop. There were so much books! The little princess frowned. Then again the library at the palace where she grew up in held even more books. There was a skip in the little girl's step. This was the only time where she did not have one of the family guards following her. And that is a relief, she thought with a sigh. It was annoying having someone follow you around all the day.
The little girl sighed a little. Even though the school had not started yet she felt a little different than the rest. The girl was from a noble family, a family whose line was ancient as time. And who also kept her home country, Tortall, in rule. She was told-ordered actually-to not mention that.
Kaori grinned a little. She would have tried very hard not to say anything about her family's line. When asked, she would have replied that she was pureblood. The girl stopped in her tracks. And where to get some help? she wandered to herself as she wandered among the store. She found somone who was older than her. Well it can't hurt, she thought. The little girl approached someone. "Um...excuse me?" she stammered. "Can you help me?"

For the first time in the history of the Applebys, three Hogwarts letters came through the kitchen window. Hallie was not surprised to see three Hogwarts letters attached to the owl¡¦s leg for she sort of expected her little sister to get one that summer. She was positive that one of those letters was addressed to her Camille. Hallie rushed up the stairs and slid Annie¡¦s letter to under Annie¡¦ door. She went over to her little sister room, which was just a few steps from where she was and she smiled as she did the same with her eleven year old little sister, Miles¡¦ letter. She really was happy for her. At last, she and Annie are not gonna leave her behind when they get on the train on September first. She was sure that her little sister would be delighted.
Hallie decided that she would buy her school supplies that day for it to be done and over with. After all, Diagon Alley was different now. Many shops closed and if she was not mistaken some of the closed stalls were the ones she frequented the most. She planned to ask her two sisters to come with her but she knew they were tired and the fact that the both of tem are still in bed proved that. The Applebys just had a really great time yesterday, they had just been froma tiring out of town spree.
Hallie got dressed and stepped out of the house. She raised her hand and waited for the knight bus to come. She wished she could apparate but apparently they do not teach student below sixth year that. She smiled to heself, she was going to learn that partcular skill that year. After a few minutes, Hallie found herself in Flourish and Blotts and unlike the years before, the shop was not packed with students and adults buying books and other school supplies. Hallie shook her head and scanned the place, hoping to find someone she knew or a friend if she was lucky.

Taylor had been staring at a book about spells that could be considered as pranks. She was deciding whether or not she should pick it up. She wanted to rather badly, but something told her it wouldn't be good if she was caught with the book. But then she shook her head, what was she thinking. Who cares if she got caught with it? Not her.
Once she reached out and quickly grabbed the book from it's spot, she began to turn around. She turned to face a girl much younger than herself. She was asking for help. And though Taylor wasn't usually the one to help people, she wasn't mean. So she of course answered the girl. "Er, sure. What do you need help with?" She asked her. The girl seemed rather young, possibly only a first year.
Taylor remembered her first year. It had been rather eventful. It of course the year she met all her friends. The friends she has kept since then, and the ones she hasn't. Upon thinking about this, she regretted ever becoming friends with some of those girls. They were all so mean, and she didn't like it. They teased people and Taylor didn't like that. No matter how much she liked playing pranks on people, she didn't like it when people spoke badly of one another. Which was what those girls used to do. Taylor hasn't spoken to them since her third year. And since then she has found better friends. She smiled to the girl in front of her and hoped she didn't have the same problem as she had. Unless she ended up in Slytherin, if she really was only a first year. Taylor glanced around for a second and saw a few new faces in the shop, she spotted a girl she knew but not very well. Her name was Hallie, she smiled at her briefly and gave a small wave. Even if they weren't great friends, she had talked to her before. She then looked back to the girl infront of her.

Kaori looked at the booklist. "I need help in finding these books." she answered. And mum was insisting on going but I told her no, she thought. Her sapphire blue eyes checked everything around. She was still amazed at how much books this place holds.

Hallie noticed that people started to come, filling the bookshop fast and she shook her head. She knew the bookshop would soon be swarming with people and it would be even harder to find a familiar face or a friend when she, like the rest of the shop¡¦s population, is swimming in the sea of faces. And by the looks of it, it would happen soon, very soon.
She did a little more scanning of the place and saw a number of familiar faces, all of them busy picking school supplies and books up. She also saw a couple of cute children playing hide and seek all over the place and smiled. Kids can really be so cute.
Hallie fished the supplies list out of her pocket and browsed it once more. She decided to get the books first and then the supplies later. As Hallie made her way to the Charms section of the rather congested bookshop, she had to go say a lot of ¡§excuse mes¡¨ and ¡§coming throughs¡¨. When she was almost there, she tripped on an oxygen molecule and fell over a poor young girl who looked innocent and was just holding her supplies list and talking to somebody. Oh crap Hallie hated it when she when she get attacked by her clumsiness, like now.

"Oh, sure I could probably help." Taylor said looking over the list. She remembered all of those books like she just had them yesturday. She smiled. She looked around and realized that if they didn't move soon, then they would surely have a hard time finding the books the girl needed and what Taylor still needed. The bookstore was beginning to fill up.
"I'm Taylor." She told the girl. "What's your name?" She asked her to be nice. And plus it would help to know the persons name in which you are helping.

Kaori smiled ever so sweetly at the girl. "Kaori," she answered happliy. She was glad that she had done her coal-black hair up in two tight braids today. Mama was right, the princess thought. However much I look like papa I certainly don't act like him. I act more like her.
"Nice to meet you Taylor,"

Hallie just said sorry over and over again as she stood up. Poor kid, she looked like around seven or eight years old. Hallie picked up the list and dusted herself off. Shrugging, she went to the charms section, which would surely be amusing. Sure enough, the moment she set foot on the section, her attention was captured by a certain book entitled: Charms made easy. It was not the title that captured her, it was the cover. The books cover was abstract and it looked like a mind map. The mind maps and Charms? The girl wondered what the connection of the two is. If the two is even connected.
Hallie grabbed the book and started scanning. She loved reading and soon she was so engrossed with the book that she does not really pay attention to the world.
