Post by Illiana Travers on Jun 26, 2008 10:59:36 GMT 8
Full Name: Illiana Faye Travers
Nickname/s: Illie
Age: 17
Blood: Pure
Gender: Female
Loyalty: Neutral
Favorite Subject/s: Astronomy, Transfiguration
Wand: Beech, Dragon Heartstring, 10 1/2 inches
Personality:
;;Pride Illiana is immensly proud of her skilled wandwork and of her good looks. With one she excels in classes and school, with the other she excels in social situations. Only occasionally does she cross the invisible line that seperates pride from arrogance, and only when she over-estimates her own abilities. After such situations she usually becomes somewhat humble... until she proves herself once again.
;;Intelligence Illiana is one of those highly intelligent people... but only in certain areas. Wandwork of any kind, Potions, Astronomy; those are things that she can do. Herbology and Divination, on the other hand, are just not her best subjects, and therefore she quit both as soon as she could.
;;Playfulness Being an intelligent young woman, Illiana knows how to use her looks against the boys. Though she might never settle on one, she plays with all of them, catching and releasing until they bore her. Never does she go on real dates; she only ever plays with her boy-toys.
;;Honour Despite her playfulness, Illiana really does know when enough is enough. If one of her boys gets himself a girlfriend, then he is now off-limits, in her mind. Illiana also knows not to push people, even if she finds their weaknesses. On top of that, she never breaks a promise, ever, even if it will get her in trouble.
;;Happiness While she might be playful and honourable and all that great stuff, Illiana is quite cheerful... for the most part. Around her friends and around other people, she's happy because of how social she is. On her own, on the other hand, she tends to lose the happy face. It is the same with strangers and enemies.
History:
The youngest of five, and the only girl in the family, Illiana was very tomboyish during her childhood. She often had to alternately fight off her brothers and play quidditch with them because she never wanted to be left on her own. Even at a young age she showed that she was social.
The other thing about her childhood was that she was rich. Very much so. Being from a very old pureblood line, one that was very good at gaining gold but not losing it, Illiana had pretty much anything she wanted, whether it be a broomstick or some dress robes. Oddly enough, she never flaunted her money over anyone, friends or enemies.
At Hogwarts, Illiana proved herself quickly. While not the top in her year (that was Hermione Granger), she was pretty high up, at least in her opinion. For a while, things were great. She tried out for the quidditch team, and while she didn't make it on, she thought she did pretty well.
Then things changed. Her eldest brother was killed in a fight with some Death Eaters, and the second eldest was accused as one of the attackers. Suddenly the family was split. Illiana's mother thought that the Order was right, her father that the Death Eaters were the way to go. The youngest brother, Emmett, wanted to sign up for the Order instantly while the second younest, Jared, wanted nothing to do with the Order and disappeared to sign up as a Death Eater.
Illiana didn't know which way to go. Half the family was on one side, the other half on the other side. How could she choose? And when she had to, what side would she go to?
What can you say about your friends?
"Friends are the driving force of life. Without them, what would there be? Nothing, really. I need them, and they need me, so I'm not going to complain."

Starfighter Command Headquarters, Coruscant Approx 1700 hours, Galactic Standard Time
“Sithspawn, Commander. Don’t you get it? It’s impossible to make the Coruscant-Corellia run in that time. I tell you, the informant’s lying.”
Becca Daniels’ eyes were narrowed, her chin set stubbornly. She and the commander had been running the numbers for hours. Apparently there was some smuggler who had just stolen something important - she didn’t know what, it was classified - and had made it to Corellia from Coruscant in a day in an old YT-1300. Being the best at calculating this sort of thing, it was her job to find out if it was possible or not. Unless you have technology I don’t know about, it’s just not possible.
The man across from her gave her an annoyed look. She knew he had forbidden her to swear, after the last incident, but she didn’t care. If that’s what it took to get the information through his thick head, then she’d deal with the consequences.
“I don’t know what to do with you, Daniels,” he told her, picking up her data pad of work. “You don’t follow orders, you don’t treat your squad mates nicely, and, well, you might be a d**n good pilot, but I’m not going to risk the rest of my squad.”
Her eyes rolled, and she sat down in her chair. He’d said this about a dozen times, as if he was trying to make her feel guilty and actually do what he said. Yeah, right. She thought of a few possible responses she hadn’t used yet, and opened her mouth to say one, but was interrupted.
“But just because I don’t know what to do with you doesn’t mean someone else can’t.” He pulled a data chip put of his jacket pocket. “You’re being transferred. Again. The info’s on the chip. I’d get packing, if I were you.”
And then he was gone, leaving her in a state of shock. This squadron hadn’t even lasted half a year. Was she that bad? Well, hopefully the new commander would be more lenient. Standing, she pocketed the chip and gathered her personal items off the desk. Well, it would be nice to get away from this place, finally. It would be better if she could somehow rewrite her record, so that this new squad wouldn’t know who she was, but it wasn’t going to happen. Maybe they’d let her fly, after two years of being stuck on the ground…
