The night was crisp and there was little wind. A figure was seen running through the trees. The shape was a white tiger. It's eyes were a bright gold in color. The fur was as white as snow.
The animal suddenly turned into the shape of a young woman-that of miss Annie Appleby. She grinned as she sat down on a tree branch. She loved roaming through the forest late at night. Annie loved it even more when she was in her animagi form. It was of pure bliss to her. Annie sat there, listening to the wind, lost in her own thoughts.

Draco had a strange urge, as he lay awake at night, to go to the Forest. He did not know why, but he knew that if he did not go to the Forest, he would not be able to sleep with that urge. So instead of attempting to go to sleep, he swung his legs off the bed and got dressed, donnnig his nice silver lined cloak over his robes.
Exiting the school, he sighed. The night was something Draco did love. The darkness, frightening to some, he adored. He did not feel alone in the dark, as some did, he did not feel afraid. The dark was something that had dominated his childhood. He practically lived in the darkness, even in the day. His eyes were quite accustomed to that darkness.
As he walked to the Forest, the cool wind blew around him, caressing every bit of skin that was left to its mercy. But the cold came with the darkness, which also made it something Draco did not pay much attention to. He entered the Forest, walking through the gnarkled branched and thin twigs, following his instincts.
Then he found it. The reason for his urge, he suspected. A white tiger flashed before him. He knew it to be an Animagus, of who, he did not know. So he followed it. He could not run as fast as it, but the gaps in the tangle of bushes and twigs revealed where she had been. Finally, the spaces were gone, and he found himself in a clearing, with a single, large tree in front of him. And sitting upon it was a girl. Hufflepuff, going by the lining of her robes and the badge on her chest. A smirk settled upon his lips.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" The words were silky smooth, lined with a hint of danger. "A Puff, all alone? In the dark forest? And it also seems to be a rule-breaker." Stepping forward, he recognized the girl. It was one of those annoying mudblood Applebys, which one, he did not know. "It is against the rules to enter the Forest except for the Teachers and Head students, of course." Although, the Heads really weren't allowed there, except him and any Slytherin, for he knew Headmistress Bella would not give him a detention, nor any other Slytherin associated with the Dark Lord in any way.

Annie spun around to face Draco. Oh hell no, she thought angrily. He would do anything to get her in trouble. And both of them knew it.
"Oh please," she snapped. "I'm not breaking any rules Malfoy. I'm perfectly free to do what I want when I want it." she fingered the wand in her robe pocket. She would give anything to pull out her wand and curse him now and here. But she knew that would cause her to get many detentions.

Draco's grey eyes grew cold at her words. He glared menacingly at her. Stepping closer, he said. "I'm sorry to inform you that you are breaking rules. Scratch that, I am not sorry, however, even that idiot Dumbledore had the rule that no one may enter the Forbidden Forest. In the rule book that was in the library, which is now in Headmistress Lestrange's office, it stated that no one but teachers and head students may enter the forest. I wish to inform you that you are not a head student, and therefore, in violation of the rules. " He wanted to give her a detention, but why give it now, when she probably could get more later should she continue to disrespectful behavior she had now. Oh yes, he would have fun with this.
"And I must tell you that just because you are a seventh year student here does not mean you can do whatever you want. Particularly since you are neither a prefect or a head, and do not have any reign to discipline others." As he said this, his pale, slender fingers wrapped around his wand, in preparation. He did not know what she would do, but he was ready.

Annie stiffened with rage and anger. "And I suppose that your way of discipline people is better with torture?" she snarled. "Then go head!" she yelled, her temper getting the best of her as she spread out her arms. Annie stood in a towering rage. The air was getting slightly colder by the minute. Annie knew it was her doing. But at the moment she was full of anger and rage that she didn't care.

An eyebrow raised. He had never said anything about any discipline, however, it would come shortly. He wanted to see how mad she would get, and what she did. "I never said one word about any discipline," he told her, glaring at her. She would soon get her due, he knew. Detentions with his aunt Bella were the worst, and that was what she would get. Of course, he would have to tell aunt Bella about it first...
"I would reccomend that you not continue with you rage, unless you wish to get in any more trouble." For some inexplicable reason, the air around him became colder. It seemed odd, but her rage seemed to make it so. "Actually, I don't reccomend that, but do what you want." He didn't mind her getting into trouble at all, but perhaps his suggestion there would make her realize that she would only get more detentions, and he didn't want that. Of course, she would soon get negative points for insulting him, or rather, avoiding the rules.

Annie took a deep breath, controlling her rage. At last the air became warm again. She narrowed her eyes. A lot of well choosen words flooded through her head. She calmed down somewhat. But anyone could tell the rage was still there.
"I don't plan on getting in trouble Malfoy," she said, her voice deadly calm. When her voice was like that it usually meant that Annie was planning something. "I was just minding my own business. Something that I can do without getting in trouble?" her eyes held the dangerous look in them. In her mind she dared him to have a go at her. He would be in the hospital wing whe nshe was done with him. And she certainly wasn't talking about doing it with magic either.

Draco felt the air around him grow warmer. Her rage had cooled off. So much for him getting her angry enough to lash out at him. However, he knew that she would probably grow agitated once again, later.
"You already are in trouble." He informed her once again. He did uphold by the rules, most of the time anyway. That was because he couldn't get kicked out of Hogwarts, and his parents had told him not to get caught breaking the rules. And of course, he could pretty much do anything now, with his aunt as the Head. "You are in the Forest, which is forbidden to be entered. Get out now, before you get more than one detention."
