Just another typical Saturday outing at Hogsmeade Village for the numerous Hogswarts students that bask in the excitement of the outing, enjoying the presence of their companions and friends or the euphoria of being outside the classrooms; study-free and exams million miles away. For one Pierre Bonnacord, he found it unbelievable having been coaxed out from the school to visit the village by one of the random students whom he had met in the library. Ever since the fifth year, he found his frequent visits to the settlement dwindle to mere outings for the sake of replenishing supplies and gathering necessities.
Walking under the autumn sun, he proceeded to loiter along High Street, constantly crowded to the brim with students joining one another in their pursuit for their own purposes. Shrugging off the mild breeze that chilled him for a moment, he proceeded to wrap the cloak tighter around his 6’ 1” frame as he scanned the shops for anything of interest. As he walked past Honeydukes, he marvelled at the size of crowd that had gathered to watch the unveiling of a new treat. Nodding to a few students whom he knew by sight, he proceeded along the street until his point of destination.
The Three Broomsticks, the local pub that were often frequented by students; either to quench their thirst or bask in the presence of the beautiful owner Madam Rosmerta. As he opened the door inside, the warm atmosphere coupled with the ever-present aroma of cinnamon greeted Pierre as he stepped into the oddly bare pub. ‘Guess Rush Hour isn’t here yet’ he thought to himself before making his way into an empty booth. Butterbeer will certainly warm his spirits as he proceeded to order one from the lovely bartender.

Pansy was in The Three Broomsticks waiting for more customers to enter. One guy called out and ordered a Fire Whiskey which she was a bit hesitant to give since he was already a bit drunk, but served it anyways since she wanted to avoid conflict. The bar surprisingly had few customers, which she soon though would be gone, along with the peaceful atmosphere.
As she returned to the counter, she washed some of the glasses which have been used, manually since she wanted to pass the time. She heard someone enter and brightened up a bit as she saw it was a student from Hogwarts. She saw him enter the booth then saw him wanting to order something. She walked up to him and smiling she asked; "What will it be?"

The seemingly under-crowded atmosphere in the Three Broomsticks caused Pierre to feel somewhat out of place amongst the various older wizards and witches that occupied the various empty locations inside the pub. Guess he had gotten used to the trademark packed atmosphere amongst the students, as he looked around hoping to catch a familiar face. As he waited to the bartender, he managed to pick out a worn out deck of cards, presumably used for Exploding Snap. Chuckling, he shuffled them absent-mindedly until being greeted by Pansy. Turning around, he returned her cheerful disposition with an amused grin.
“I’d take the Fire Whiskey but I feel it’s a little early this morning to get drunk. How about two Butterbeers, one for each of us for starters?” he asked, as he looked at her. Pierre Bonnacord certainly didn’t expect to find a fellow Slytherin student to be working, or even own the popular tavern joint. Guess it told so much about him being cooped up in the ancient castle, having not wandered into the establishment for two years now.

Pansy grinned at Pierre. She looked around no one was entering the pub and it was really bare, plus all the wizards there still had drinks up to half the bottle so she didn't see any problem with accepting the Slytherins' offer. "Thanks, I'll be back with your order" she said as she excused herself from Pierre and went back to the counter. Once she got the Butterbeers, she walked to where the booth was. "Here you go" she said smiling as she gave him his Butterbeer then paused, it was a bit awkward that she'd be taking one but smiled anyways. "Thank you" she told him, still smiling. She glanced at the door. Hallie wasn't there yet, which she thought odd but decided that she might be at some of the stores there, or still sleeping, she concluded chuckling a bit then looked back at the Slytherin. "I'm Pansy by the way" she said as she smiled and extended her hand for a shake. She did see him before, but the two never talked, probably because they were both caught up with studies, her of course not that much, she was never that serious with lessons, but she didn't fool around either.

Nodding grimly in time to her reply, he paused to watch as she excused herself and made her way back to the counter to bring forth their drinks. Looking around once more, Pierre merely shrugged off the weird coincidence of having a bare tavern but he co-related it with the fact that it was probably too early for drunkards to climb out of their alcohol-induced stupor. Sighing, he removed his cloak; placing it down beside him inside the booth. Once more, he began to shuffle the worn out pack of cards, probably out of habit having not used to doing nothing with his hands.
As he returned his gaze to the bartender return with his order, he smiled his thanks as he took a swig out of the bottle. The liquid immediately gave warmth to the ends of his cold fingertips before he shrugged off her gratitude. “Anytime,” he muttered before quickly taking another swig of the Butterbeer. Removing it from his lips, he realised that he had downed half the bottle in half a minute. Upon hearing the bartender’s’ introduction, he placed the bottle onto the table. “Pierre Bonnacord. I’m pretty sure you’re in my year. Draco’s buddy right?” he asked, as he looked at her.
Given that they probably belonged to different circle of friends, Pierre wasn’t surprised having not spoken to her during his seven years at Hogwarts. Well, better late than never.

Pansy looked at Pierre shuffle the cards. "Do you know how to do tricks?" she asked smiling. It was amusing to find wizards and witches still interested in old magic like card tricks. "A lot of people I know find it boring" she added leaning on the wall beside her. She took a sip of her Butterbear and instantly felt warmer. She watched him down his drink up to the middle of the bottle quite fast. "Easy there" she said jokingly.
She scrunched her nose for a split second after hearing him say she was Draco's buddy. "Well, yeah I guess, but I'm sure as hell not like Crabbe and Goyle, they're in a different group" she said as she felt a bit sorry for the two.
"If you want a refill just put your bottle on the table, it automatically fills itself" she added amused. She then looked at the door again and around the bar, still no Hallie, then back at Pierre.

Hallie had a very unpleasant dream and she needed to talk to someone. It scared the living daylights out of her. Voldemort was in it and she did not know how to tell Ann or Miles¡K or her parents about it. The Hufflepuff was not even sure if she should share it to anyone. There was only one thing she was sure about at the moment and that was to get her lazy body out of bed and have a blast at Hogsmeade to forget the freakin¡¦ dream.
No homeworks, projects, tests, professors who might have her head for cramming her homework again together in one day just spelled perfect. She rushed out of the girl¡¦s dormitory, dressed for the weekend. She was wearing her favorite white Capri pants matched with her hotpink shirt, light brown belt and rich brown slippers. She scanned to common room quickly, trying to find company. Unable to find anybody, she stepped out of the dungeons and out of the castle.
There she was again, strolling at Hogsmeade. Shops were everywhere as well as students and of course adults. The village was practically swarming with people. Well the street itself was packed with people but the shops did not seem to have as much individuals in them. She saw the sign of the Three Broomsticks on the corner of her eye and grinned. Maybe she could actually talk to someone, someone trustworthy¡XPansy.
[[Pan, Pierre, sorry late reply and sorry for the punctuation marks, if they replaced by weird symbols. Something's wrong with my laptop and I can't fix it.]]

Having spent the latter bit of the past ten minutes absent-mindedly shuffling the worn out deck of cards, Pierre felt almost embarrassed to have someone pull him out of his thoughts that way. Usually, the Skytherin student wouldn’t be easily distracted out of being mindful of his surroundings; with the impending whispers of war during the return of Lord Voldermort. Frankly, Pierre couldn’t care less if he were to stumble upon a conversation of a plotted assassination by Death Eaters but it was a trait that grew with him, for the better part of two years now. Shaking his heads out of his thoughts, he returned his attention to Pansy, who sat directly opposite him inside the scarce booth of the Three Broomsticks. “Sorry. Must’ve zoned out there for a moment,” he stated with a sheepish grin before concentrating on her query.
Card tricks, or so she mentioned. He had read about those during one of the seemingly pointless Muggle Studies classes that he had taken during his pre-OWL years whereby he spent almost three years learning on facts which he already knew by heart; having been half Muggle himself. He was surprised to find that card tricks were an attempt by wizards to settle within Muggle communities without being completely void of their heritage as he looked at the deck of cards that he held in his hands. “Sure. I know a few. It does get old after sometime but boring? Never,” he replied as he tried to recall some of the more impressive tricks which his father had shown him during the summer holidays before he started school at Hogwarts.
Noticing her clear displeasure at his note of her relation with Draco Malfoy, he decided to probably ease off the conversation. Having enemies within your own tribe was certainly nor the way to go if you wanted to stay alive and graduate; especially when those in your tribe were extremely well-associated with Death Eaters. “Well, I do apologise but I don’t quite see the difference seeing he does mingle with most of the students in our common room,” he said, hoping to ease the tension within their conversation. Nodding at her advice, he then drained the remaining liquid in the bottle before placing it onto the table; whilst watching it fill up to the brim once more with the heavenly beverage.
((That's fine...It's pretty well written so no complaints there.))

Pansy drank her Butterbear slowly, savoring the taste. Upon noticing that Pierre zoned out she smiled and chuckled a bit. "No biggy," she then said to him, smiling. There was a guts of cold wind that blew in, she figured someone entered ans when she looked to see who its was, she was a bit disappointed that it still wasn't Hallie.
Pansy beamed at Pierre. "Cool, can you show me some?" she asked with puppy dog eyes. "I haven't seen one for such a long time, and doing it to entertain myself in front of a mirror pretending to be two person, is really weird" she said as she laughed a bit.
"Ah but you see, Crabbe and Goyle are his followers, and the rest of us are surely not" she said as she grinned. "The two follow Draco around like lost puppies," she said as she acted that out using her fingers, creating finger men, which she thought childish, but still funny.
Glancing at the clear glass door once more, she saw someone outside, which made her smile as she realized she was Hallie. She couldn't leave instantly though, she didn't want to be rude to Pierre. "Excuse me," she said for the second time only this time not to get Butterbears but to fetch Hallie who was still outside. "I'm just going to go see my friend whose by the door outside, not to be rude, I'll introduce you to her" she said as she placed her Butterbear gently on the table and exited the booth. Walking to the door, she opened it and instantly beamed. "Hi Hallie!" she said excitedly, though noting Hallie's troubled expression.

Hallie frowned to herself as she made her way to the infamous pub. If her sisters or any of her friends sees her with that expression painted on her face, she would surely end up being on a hot seat where she would be bombarded with all the hell sort of questions which will all come down to them berating her for not telling. And that was the last thing she needed to happen at the moment. She shook her head, trying to shrug all the negative thoughts out of her skull.
When she was just outside the pub, she stopped. She was not sure whether it would be a good idea or not to talk to Pansy in the pub. Most probably, Hogwarts students would be in it. She could not be caught talking to her friend in public. That is so totally going to ruin Pansy¡¦s reputation with her best friends at least. Just as she was about to go, a familiar voice called out her name so she quickly turned around.
¡§Pansy!¡¨ She exclaimed, the frown on her lips curved up into a smile. She grinned as she saw Pansy approach and hoped she had not caught her Good Friday expression [mukhang biyernes santo. Lol!] a while ago. She then looked around cautiously, trying to send Pansy a signal that they are in public¡K that she and Pan should not act like¡K normal.
[[Thank you, Pierre]]

Pansy grinned at Hallie, she wanted to surprise her by acting as normal as she would when the two were alone, and that was what she was doing, and will be doing from now on. "We do need to talk later, in a more private place," she said referring to Hallie's grim expression earlier. "But right now, let's go inside the bar and have fun, I want to introduce you to someone, I met him a while ago, he's a Slytherin, but I guess he's not like the rest" she said as she winked at her. Opening the door and gesturing for her to enter and follow her. She hoped that Hallie would get the clue that she was no longer afraid of getting caught by other Slytherins and Merlin knows who else. She walked to the booth where Pierre was in and smiled at him. "I'm back, and I brought a friend, her name's Hallie," she said to him happily, though conscious that he was a Slytherin.

((The pleasure's all mine...))
Watching his fellow Slytherin’s enthused reaction with regards to his skills at card tricks certainly amused Pierre to an extent. After all, it wasn’t everyday one finds Slytherin students being completely amazed by parlour tricks that could hardly dazzle a crowd of Muggle teenagers at a party. Raising his eyebrows, he slowly nodded as he recovered from the shock of her request. “Well, there are a number of tricks that I’m familiar with…let me try and pick out one,” he stated quite simply, as he proceeded to reshuffle the deck for the umpteenth time. Whilst he shuffled, he proceeded to allow his undiverted attention to Pansy as she told of Draco’s ‘regime’ at Slytherin. Smiling at her attempt at humour, he didn’t think that humour could really exist amongst Slytherin that didn’t involve sadistic acts of cruel pranks.
“Well, I suppose that’s quite true…seeing both his lap dogs are always there to flank him. However, one cannot deny that he’s quite the popular figure in our common room. For those who do not mingle with his crowd, such as myself, it may be ignorant to assume that everyone whom he mingles with are his friends. My apologies then,” he stated, surprised at the amount of conviction that he held in his words. Soon after, he found the speck of dust at the bar’s floor quite interesting whilst he proceeded to shuffle the deck of cards merrily. Looking back at his companion, it seemed that she was waiting for the impending arrival of another. Judging it was only right to allow her to leave for her supposed appointment, Pierre didn’t quite get a chance to apologise for intruding upon her time before she left with a hasty word of excuse.
Watching as she made her way to the door, he merely nodded at her words and placed the deck of cards onto the table. He then lifted the bottle of Butterbeer before taking another swig, draining the bottle in half once more. Watching Pansy as she made her exit, he proceeded to look around the bar for any other students whom he could recognise. Guess not, as he turned back towards the entrance of the bar to find Pansy returning with a friend. “Hallie…Nice name. Pleased to meet you. Pierre Bonnacord,” he stated, putting on a French accent to emphasize his heritage.

Hallie just continued to grin at her friend as she approached. Her grin grew wider unconciously as she neared. But then when she said that the two of them needed to talk later in a more private area she frowned and feigned an innocent look. ¡§Talk? Later? In a private place? Why Pan, is something wrong?¡¨ She asked concerned, still frowning. She was not really sure if she had seen her grim face or there was just something bothering her friend that she wished to tell her.
The Hufflepuff, once again, had to smirk at her friend. Did she just said something about her introducing me to a Slytherin? She eyed her friend like she had gone bonkers. What was going on with Pan? She just acted like, well, normal but she was not supposed to do that. The situation at hand does not demand for them to act normal. She was going to ruin her Slytherin reputation and lose her friends and there was no way she was going to let that happen. No freakin¡¦ way.
Then she just entered the pub, smiling at her friend when she opened the door for her to enter. They really had to talk later. She had to talk with Pan. She just could not understand her¡K behavior. The next thing she knew was that she was being introduced by Pansy to someone. Most probably to the Slytherin she had mentioned a while ago. She flashed him a smile before saying, ¡§Why thank you, Pierre. I¡¦m Hallie, Hallie Appleby.¡¨

"There's nothing wrong with me," Pansy said with a slight smile. Then added; "But with you, I know there is," in a whisper. Inside she was going crazy. What in the name of Merlin was she doing? Pierre really seemed like a nice person, one of the nicest she's met so far in Slytherin, except her best friends of course, that was a given. But hello? He's still a Slyhterin, there's still a possibility that he won't like Hallie.
As the two introduced themselves, she grinned. She conjured another bottle of Butterbear with her wand [it was to rude if she left again, well it was already rude to leave, but hey, she did excuse herself] and handed it to Hallie. She was a bit shaky but covered it up well, she smiled at the both of them and sat down, gesturing for Hallie to do the same. "Do you guys know how to play exploding snaps? I don't." She said as she pouted, then grinned hoping one of them did and would show her how.
