Theodore sighed as he looked around the dirt path of Hogsmeade. It was rather quiet for a afternoon visit, probably because the Dark Lord had been seen around here. But Theodore wasn't afraid. His father was in good standings with the Dark Lord, and he knew that his time would come to join them soon enough. He prayed that it wouldn't some down to it, however, he knew his father would expect him to, especially after Harry had named him as one of the Death Eaters.
Revenge would be so sweet. his father would tell him that. He knew Draco hated the Gryffindor as well, even was cruel to him and his friends frequently. Theo had watched this, but, however, he did not participate for he was not one to follow Draco Malfoy and his gang. However, friends he was to him, and agreed with him about the mudblood.
Theo walked into the The Three Broomsticks and nodded at the bartender, as he grabbed himself an empty table in the far back corner. He was place so that he could watch the rest of the pub, a trick his father had taught him. Probably because he had been so paranoid that the Order was out to get him.
A few minutes past, and Theo received his butterbeer. He took a few sips of it before pulling out his potions book. If his friends didn't arrive shortly, he would be writing his essay for potions, not that he minded, for it was his favorite subject. He was busy turning the pages of his book trying to find the topic that he was to write to realize someone else had entered the pub.

Yawning, Brielle ran her brush through her hair for what seemed like the millionth time. She'd purchased it in Diagon Alley over the summer. It was supposedly enchanted to make the user's hair thicker and shiner with each stroke. Not that Brielle's hair needed that much improvement, but it has seemed like a good idea at the time. Looking in the mirror she didn't see one bit of difference though. "What a waste of 6 Galleons!" She said as she threw the brush onto her bed. Brie gave herself a once over in the mirror. She was wearing a black sweater, jeans, her favorite beat up green and white trainers and her Slytherin scarf. Good enough, I guess.
Two minutes later Brielle had reached the third floor. Bloody staircases. She peeked out from around her hiding spot to make sure no one else was around. Slytherin she might be, but that didn't mean she wouldn't get in trouble for breaking the rules. When she was sure the floor was empty she walked over to the humpbacked witch, and made her way to it's exit in Honeydukes cellar.
There's something wrong with this, she thought as she slipped out the candy shoppe. Hogsmeade was like a ghost town or something. Brielle had heard rumors that The Dark Lord himself had visited the village, but she didn't think that was enough to keep people in hiding. Lucky for me, then. She decided to go to The Three Broomsticks before one of the few people who were out could come up to her and ask if she was lost. That was the thing about Brielle, she was so tiny that people often mistook her for a fourth year. Until they heard her talk.
Brie pushed open the pub door and smiled at the bartender. She was about to sit near the front when she noticed an older boy in the far back corner. He looked too young to be an adult, so she decided to go and investigate. As she got closer she recognized him from the Slytherin common room. "Hi," she said only loud enough for his ears. "Do you mind if I join you?"

Taking a few sips from his butterbeer, Theodore watched as a small girl, obliviously from Slytherin by the looks of her scarf, enter the pub. It didn't surprise him much to see her, for only Slytherin would be caught in a town where the Dark Lord was rumored to be. His eyes watched the girl as she looked a little lost, and she seemed to be thinking on where to sit down. The pub was empty, besides the bartender and Theo, so the girl had plenty of places to choose from.
As Theodore sat his glass of butterbeer down, he realized that she was heading over in his direction. He wasn't too sure what compelled the girl to walk his way, but he wasn't in the mood to analyze, he was just happy that there was someone else to talk to besides the wall. When the girl finally reached his table and spoke, Theo closed his potions book, and slide it to the side. "Hi." he nodded to her, tilting his head to side just a little to see her better. The sunlight was seeping in through the open blinds of the windows and causing a horrible glare in her direction.
"Sure. You are welcome to join me." he said, motioning to an empty chair beside him. He stayed were he was at, as he continued to watch the girl. He had a few girls he called his friends, but nothing major. He even had a few girlfriends, all of which fall victim of the 'not-good-enough' pile of Mr. Theodore Nott Sr. The girl before him was cute, but that was all that passed through the Slytherin's mind at that time.
"Oh. Excuse my manners." Theodore just realized he had not introduced himself yet. "My name is Theodore, Theodore Nott."

The small girl's big brown eyes caught site of the boy's potions book and a small smile crossed her face. Potions had never been Brielle's favorite subject, but she'd always found it fascinating and been pretty good at it too. Since she hadn't used the book before, she came to the quick conclusion that the book was used in a higher year. This fact alone put Brielle in a much better mood than she'd been in over the past few days. It was always nice to talk to someone older.
"Thank you," she said in a pleasant tone. She took a seat in the chair that the boy had indicated. Now that she was out of the direct line of the sunlight, she could actually see the older boy's face. Brielle thought he was cute, but she wasn't exactly in a flirtatious mood. But still, Brielle was a natural flirt. "I'm Brielle Temple."
Horrified, Brie realized that she'd been speaking with a slight Spanish accent. She knew some people thought that it was cute how her accent was caught in between that of a normal British person and a Spanish one. Sure, Brie could speak with a perfect British accent too, but that took work. She mentally shrugged it off, deciding that she wouldn't try to force it today. "You can call me Brie, or Ellie," she added as an after thought. The bar tender came over and she ordered a cherry syrup and soda with ice. Brielle thanked the bartender upon his return before turning her attention back to Theodore. "So, I see you weren't afraid of Hogsmeade," she commented in a light tone. Her accent was still there, but this time she sounded much more like her confident self.

Theo smiled at the girl when she returned with her name. It was in a Spanish accent, but instead of bring attention to it, like most people would, Theo just brushed it off and continued to sip his butterbeer. "Brielle, nice you meet you." he nodded to the girl. He didn't used nicknames, unless he knew the person rather well. Theo wasn't a very social person, and the friends he did have, he protected.
He watched the girl as sat down and ordered her drink. Theo thought it interesting that she ordered a cherry syrup and soda. He thought no more about it when she asked him her question. He grinned wickedly before answering, a facial feature that everyone that knew him knew that he only did when he was thinking something most evil.
Theodore knew that most people in there right mind would never come into Hogsmeade if they knew it had some connection to the Dark Lord. "Yea. I have nothing to worry about." he smirked at her. "I see your here as well, not afraid?" he asked. He was sure that she wouldn't have some here alone if she was afraid. And Theo hadn't seen anyone else come in with her, so he assumed that she was alone.

Brielle breathed a small sigh of relief, thankful that Theodore hadn't noticed her Spanish accent. Or if he had, she was glad that he was acting like he didn't notice. She sipped her drink and smiled. It'd been forever since she'd had one and it was really good. Brie thought about how the drink sort of matched her personality.
The cherry syrup and soda with ice was an original type of drink and Brielle was an original person. Some people would never try it simply because it wasn't normal; which was similar to the way that some people were afraid of Brielle because she was a Slytherin. But the drink didn't care - it went on being it's bubbly and sweet self. It was also a bit addicting, but eventually one would have to stop drinking because it was too much. A bigger smile danced across Brielle's face, and she let out a soft laugh as she mused over how she was like the cherry syrup and soda drink.
Brie traced the rim of the glass while she thought. She looked at Theodore, wondering what drink he was similar to. "I feel exactly the same way." Brielle tilted her head and glanced at the older boy, one million questions running through her mind. "I think it's rather foolish, you know? All people do these days is hide," she remarked, still deep in thought.

Hiding. Yes. Everyone did seem to hide these days. probably for their protection more than anything. He knew the ways of the Dark Lord, and anyone who wasn't worthy was cast away. Muggle-borns and blood traitors alike, they both would have no place in the world when Voldemort was finished. Muggles would be slaves, just like the house elves.
"Yes, I do believe everyone's hiding. maybe for good measure for most of them. I wouldn't want to be a mudblood walking around here, I'll tell you that." he smirked, as he took another sip of his butterbeer. He looked at the girl, with mild interest, she must also be in good standings with the Dark Lord to be out without as much as inquire into who she was. She probably sneaked out of the castle, just like him.
Looking at his potions book, he remembered Snape. He was very different then the rest of the Professors, much more dark and mysterious. Theodore had known why though for a very long time, Snape had joined the Dark Lord, but Theo wasn't entirely sure if he was completely on his side or not. But turning back to the girl in front of him, he smiled. "With apparently so much to do within the castle walls, it was sure boring today, am I right? Seems like we both needed a little adventure." he smirked.

Brielle twisted her hair around her fingers, eyes sparkling. It was a habit she had whenever she was fantasizing or seriously thinking about something. She knew she wouldn't want to be a Muggle-Born at this time in life either. "That's true. I suppose the Muggle-Borns are going to get it worse than the Muggles." A small sigh escaped her and she bit her bottom lip. The young girl wasn't sure how she felt about any of this. Brie smiled, thinking about how her father was always teasing her about how she should have been a Ravenclaw. He'd always say that she thought about things too much.
The biggest thing for Brielle was her uncertainty. She wanted to believe that The Dark Lord was going to rule the Wizarding world, she really did. But there wasn't enough action going on to prove anything. And that worried Brielle. There was a tiny voice at the back of her mind that wanted to know what would happen if The Dark Lord failed. What would that mean for Brielle, and more importantly her family? She leaned back into her chair and sighed, feeling a bit deflated.
If Brie's Tia Lela would have been there she would have said something like 'Keep that expression on your face, and you'll have lines there'. That was the thing that frustrated Brielle the most. No one ever wanted her to think. She felt like everyone expected her to go through life with just a smile and a nod. Or a simple 'Yes, at once'. Brielle felt as if she would burst if she didn't talk to someone, which was exactly the problem. Was it safe to talk to anyone about what was on her mind?
Brielle's never ending train of thought was interrupted by Theodore asking her a question. Her cheeks flushed a deeper red than the tomatoes in her mother's garden. She'd always been taught not to show any signs of doubt. She was a Temple after all, and that meant that her life had to be one big illusion of perfection. Right?
Brielle looked at Theodore, thankful she didn't have to force a smile. It came naturally. "Definitely. There's never anything to do inside Hogwarts these days, unless you want to study for exams." Brielle laughed, but it wasn't genuine. She thought about how her O.W.Ls were this year. "You have your NEWTs this year, right?" she asked suddenly. It was quiet for awhile after, and Brielle found herself lost in thought again. It was like an evil monster was growing inside her. One who made her doubt everything. "Theodore, what do you think the world will be like...after?"

It had been awhile since Theo had seen his father, a couple of weeks, which might not have been a while for you, but when he was used to seeing his father once a week even when he was in school. His father seemed proud to know that Theo had become prefect. He seemed ecstatic when he found out what he was doing with his spare time, Theo rubbed his left arm as he thought about his father.
He had been expected to walk in his father's footsteps. A Death Eater and nothing less. Theo often wondered if his mother was alive if things would have been different, probably not. His father was har don him, but it made him a stronger person. He didn't take crap from anyone, especially Malfoy. he shook his head, grinning at the thought of the little blond pipsqueak.
Studying for exams. Theo knew how his O.W.L.S were, but he knew his N.E.W.T.S would be brutal. But he was smart, he would be fine. "Yes. I have N.E.W.T.S." he was about to ask Brielle how she knew he was in Seventh Year, but figured he'd let it slide. "Do you have exams this year as well?"
He smirked at when she asked him about the future. But in reality, he wasn't really sure what would happen. Would the world be any better without muggles or mudbloods? Theo didn't know. "I really don't know. I suppose there will be more purebloods, and less muggles and mudbloods to worry about. What do you think it will be like?"

Brielle finished up the last of her drink and pushed is gently to the side. Her signature tiny smile spread across her face again as she put one of her fingers there. Her lips were still tingling from the beverage. This is why I love everything magical. Brie was sure that normal muggle soda couldn't taste this good, or have as many bubbles. Thinking of Muggles pulled Brielle deeper into thought.
"Unfortunately, I do have my O.W.Ls this year." Brie let out a dramatic sigh. "How were they for you?" Brielle was terrified of hers. All she heard from her father these days was how her fifth year exams would shape her whole future. It was one of those impossible concepts for Brielle. Why should the scores she got now affect her job possibilities in the future, or the classes she'd be taking for her two remaining years at Hogwarts? "You're awfully lucky Theodore. At least it's your last year." Brielle smiled playfully at him.
You idiot! Biting her lip was all she could do to keep from wincing at his next words. The more she thought about it, the more she realized just how right her Uncle Carlisle might be. She was starting to wonder if she did worry about things too much. What do I think the world will be like? Or what am I supposed to think? "I honestly don't know. Sometimes I think that with less Muggle-Borns around then the Purebloods will start to turn on themselves." Oh my god. Brielle slapped her hand over her mouth and looked at Theodore with wide eyes. She hadn't been watching her words, and she was scared to see how he would react. Brielle knew for a fact that anyone in her family would be furious if they'd heard her.

Theodore watched the girl as she finished her drink. It found it quite amusing that someone could be so happy when they finished a drink. He had a smile upon his face. It was curious to him that a girl was alone by herself her in Hogsmeade when Voldemort could be near. It was not only dangerous, but stupid. But was she a Death Eater, did she give her life to the Dark Lord, just like his father wanted him to?
"O.W.L's wasn't hard for me. But school isn't particularly hard for me to begin with." he smiled at her. "I suppose your a Slytherin to have the guts to come out here today" he gave her a smirk. But just as he asked this, he saw something out the window. He didn't want to alarm the girl, so he didn't say or hint to anything. He also wasn't sure what he saw, but he did have his hand on his wand, just in case.
But just as he was on alert by the figure next to the door, he heard her answer. I honestly don't know. Sometimes I think that with less Muggle-Borns around then the Purebloods will start to turn on themselves. she had a point, but a that some something a Slytherin nor a sane person would say out loud, or even think of. Pure-bloods were already turning against each other because of the war, he was sure they might find another reason to turn against each other, but Theo didn't speak of that. He just sat there, looking at her.
"Uh..." he begin to speak, but wasn't unable to finish his sentence. His blue eyes looked at the girl in the utmost confusion, but then they softened. "Well, maybe so." he smiled at her. "Who know what will happen after the Dark Lord gets his wishes." he took another sip of his butter beer. "I suspect it everything will change."
