"Any episodes this week?" Madame Pomfrey asked, then corrected herself by saying, "Well I'm guessing not since you haven't been in here at all this week." she sighed and inspected the rings under Vincent's eyes. "Have you been getting enough sleep?" she asked, pretty sure she already knew the answer and withdrew her probing fingers as the blue-eyed boy shook his head. "That's what I thought." she muttered and then sighed and fished around in her pocket for something. She looked at Vincent expectantly. The 16-year-old held out his hands and she dropped a small candy in his open palms. She gave the frail-looking boy a pat on the shoulder. "Remember to save that for bed. It's got something in it that should - with any luck - help you sleep. Now, what do you say?"
"Thank-you, Madame Pomfrey." the black-haired Vincent mumbled softly and she smiled approvingly. The boy was polite, but sometimes he was a wreck when he came in here.
"Good boy." she said. "You take a nap if you want to and I'll see you again next week." Then she walked off as a first year was brought in sobbing loudly.
Vincent gazed at the tempting clean, white sheets then sighed and settled down, laying on top of them. His classes were done for the day and dinner wasn't for another hour - why not? He could at least try to sleep.

Seeing the first year boy crying, as his head ache got worse, Letitia was torn apart more and more every second. Not being able to just walk away and leave him there, and nothing on her at the moment, she decided to help him, also being a prefect and all, it was her job.
Taking the boys hand, she walked him to the Hospital wing. She calmed him down a bit, so now it was just sobbing. "I think his just got a head ahce, but I think it might be a good idea if we..I mean you Madam Pomfrey, check him, just in case?" Letitia said sweetly, as the boy was right beside her.
As the first year boy was taken away from her grasp, Letitia was about to walk out when she saw a frail 6th year, she wanted to go over and say hi, but thought the better of it, instead she just stood there , looking at him, hoping he couldn't see her.
It tore her apart to see people in here.

Unfortunately for Letitia, Vincent always knew when he was being watched. He sat up a little and looked over the back of the hospital bed to find the eyes on him. Soon his blue-eyed gaze fell on the Ravenclaw. She wasn't exactly hard to spot, she was just standing there gawking at him. They were in the same house, it wasn't like they'd never seen each other or something, but she stared anyways. Maybe she didn't know what was wrong with him, which he would find strange since the'd think it was pretty obvious.
He sat up a little more, feeling uncomfortable sitting the way he was and then looked over at Madame Pomfrey who was tending the sobby first year, not that Vincent could say much since he remembered a time when he was a lot like that. For different reasons, of course, but...Well, it didn't matter. That was the past.
He looked back at Letitia again as if to say, 'What?', although he didn't actually say anything.

The look was enough to scare most away, or to at least keep them from staring at him, but not this Veela, she was really thankful that at least one boy hadn't stared at her like she was a piece of meat, a meat they could have fun with in any sexual way, she wasn't that type of girl.
She wanted to apologise and turn away, and that's what she did for a few seconds, but then turned back around to look at him again, then finally walk over. "Uh, Hi. Mind some company?" she asked, he probably did, it was kind of obvious, if he wanted her to go, he'd just have to say it, she wasn't going to take any non-verbal or, even physical hints.
"Sorry about bringing the first year in, it just tore me apart to see him like that" Letitia said, a quick side-way glance at the boy.
(EEk.....talk about short!))

Vincent looked over at the first year again, then shrugged, looking back at the Veela girl. "You can do whatever you want." was the reply. His voice was soft and whispery, barely there and without a doubt hard to hear if you were more than ten feet away. He covered himself up to his shoulders under the sheets of the hospital wing bed and then looked at the first year again. He was quieting down now, reduced to snuffles, half of which were muffled by the tissue Madame Pomfrey had given him.
Vincent peeked under the sheets at the candy he still held in his hand, then stuffed into the pockets of his pants before murmuring, "At least you cared about him. He probably didn't know much of what was going on."
((Meh XD I've done shorter...Ahaha. Also, sorry about Vincent being a complete weirdo. I can't play normal characters to save my life o_< ))

You can do whatever you want
Letitia pulled up a chair and sat down beside him. least you cared about him. He probably didn't know much of what was going on That's just the type of girl I am, I couldn't leave him alone, and not just because he's young and stuck in this world, expecielly when all this is going on, but because no-one else would've, besides Hermione Granger. I've never seen you around before.....I'm Parker, Letitia Parker" she said, introduucing herself kindly, or as kindly as she could anywya

For several moments Vincent was dead silent, picking at some fraying parts of the sheet.
"That's just the kind of girl I am,"
"I know." was the quiet reply. When the girl introduced herself, Vincent finally looked up. He stared her down for a couple of seconds, then looked back down again. "My name is Vincent Saint-Maurier. You probably have not seen me around because I am..." he trailed off. There was really no simple way to put this, he'd just have to say it how it was. "Different." If the Veela girl didn't know what was different about him, he wasn't about to tell her. She'd probably find out soon enough any ways.
His eyes returned to the sheets as he continued picking at the frayed sheet, even though Madame Pomfrey got mad at him when he did.
(( (shrug) It's no prob~ ))

Luke wasn't sure how it happened. He didn't see it coming. But it came.
He was walking back to his dormitory from the library when he saw some first years. Fifteen in total. Not that there was anything weird about that. They were giggling and whispering seemed to be very excited about something. Not that that was odd either. When they spotted Luke coming towards them, their whispering ceased and all pretened to be doing something else. When he gave them a questioning look, overly innocent faces stared back and a few sugary sweet smiles were flashed.
Luke wasn't sure if he wanted to know what was happening. It wasn't a strange occurence nor an uncommon one and most people would've continued on their way but Luke was unnaturally suspicious. He gave the first years a warning look and continued down the corridor.
Just as he reached the end of the passage, screams and yells echoed down the corridor. It came from the other end, whee the first years were. Luke jogged back and instead of first years blocking the corridor, it were frogs and toads that littered the floor. There were fifteen in total.
Looking up, Luke saw the tail of robes whipping around a corner. No doubt the ones who turned these first years into amphibians, thought Luke, frowing slightly at the mess.
Luke sighed and conjured a fish tank. Carefully, he placed each frog and toad in it.
"You're lucky that I happened to in hearing range of your yells. Or else someone might think you to be real frogs and use you guys in potions," muttered Luke so only the frogs and toads in the tank could hear him.
Finally, after many flights of stairs and many agonizing minutes of sore arms, Luke reached the hospital wing. He entered and went straight to Madame Pomfrey.
Madame Pomfrey, upon seeing Luke, immediately started scolding him. "In here again I see. What did you do this time? Last time it was a concussion from a flying cauldron and last week was an exploding letter. How many times have I told you to stay away from trouble? The only good thing I can say about you is that you're not my most frequently returning patients and at least you're not as bad as that brother of yours."
"Actually Madame Pomfrey," said Luke, patiently correcting the school nurse, "I'm here because of these frogs. You see, I have come to believe that these are first years."
With that said, Luke promptly handed the tank to the nurse. He then walked over to Vincent and Letitia whom he had seen when he had first entered the hospital wing.
"Good afternoon. What brings you two here on this fine day?" asked Luke.
((Well, that was long...))

Letitia was about to reply to Vincent, when another kid came up to the two
Good afternoon. What brings you two here on this fine day
"I just had my ehart torn out seeing a first year cry because of a head ache" Letitia replied looking over at the boy once more..."Poor kid" she said, turning around and shaking her head.
"Well, we all heard what happened to your first years, they're probably almost frightened to death, the poor...uh, frogs? Or are they toads?" the 7th year asked.
((Sorry it's taken me so long to post...but I've been busy, I shouldnt even be on, I've got a really important audition, then a concert that i'm, playing guitar in, singing, playing piano and violin, then warming up on the piano..so yeah))

"I just had my heart torn out seeing a first year cry because of a head ache," Letitia replied looking over at the boy once more. "Poor kid," she said, turning around and shaking her head.
Luke raised his eyebrows. Maybe it was a female thing, soft spots for the injured. Especially for little kids. Maybe that was why so many girls went after Nick, Luke's older brother. He was often injured. Usually a result from his self-sacrificing tendencies.
"Well, we all heard what happened to your first years, they're probably almost frightened to death, the poor...uh, frogs? Or are they toads?" the 7th year asked.
Luke was surprised that the seventh year girl didn't know the difference. From what he understood, it was part of the curriculum in potions to be able to decipher the difference between frog and toad.
"They're frogs and toads," answered Luke patiently.

"Good afternoon. What brings you two here on this fine day?"
Vincent raised his eyebrows at his fellow Ravenclaw and replied simply, "I think you know why I'm here." Then he looked over at the frogs and toads or...first years...Whatever they were. He shook his head then pulled the sheets from the hospital bed further up, almost hiding under them completely. He felt comfortable in Lucas' presence, but he was purposefully trying to avoid people discovering what was wrong with him. He figured the fewer that knew, the fewer that could use it against him. He closed his eyes and gave a soft sigh.
((Sorry for the wait, guys ;o ))

Vincent seemed to have unstiffened since Luke joined the conversation. But pulling up the sheets almost covering his whole head was a big indicator that Vincent was still feeling uncomfortable with the situation. Luke could only guess that it had something to do with the seventh year's presence because Vincent was usually a lot more comfortable with just the two of them.
"Your name's Letitia Parker, right?" asked Luke, hoping he had guessed correctly.
Hoping that it was the right thing to do, Luke tried to engage the girl into a conversation with a light topic that had nothing to do with why Vincent was in the Hospital Wing. Of course, Luke knew perfectly well why Vincent was there, but by the looks of things, the girl didn't.
Luke looked at Vincent, checking to see if this was the direction Vincent wanted the conversation to go.

They're frogs and toads
"Oh, right sorry, I should've known, just have alot on my mind at the moment, and I cant even process anything in" she said, then thought to herself I cant even change my apperences, that's never happened before
I think you know why I'm here
"Well, I certaintly don't, I've only even seen you in here when I come in to check on random people, but most tell me it's a good idea to just let you sleep, so I don't really come over much...I have no idea why...." she said, knowing she was probably saying something wrong. Thinking that maybe lucas was the reason why he was in here, maybe a fight of some sort, but wasn't going to say anything.
"Your name's Letitia Parker, right?"
"Yep, the one and only....I think I might've shown youa round the school maybe, or maybe I'm just confused, getting you and someone else mixed up..I can be terrible like that" she said, today just seemed to be one of those talkative days

Luke thought wildly, searching through his memory, though his face didn't show anything. What was Letitia talking about? Until today, Luke had never spoken to Letitia before, apart from a 'good morning' or an 'excuse me'.
"I think it was someone else that you took on a tour," guessed Luke finally, unable to rememeber going on a tour with Letitia.
Luke glanced at Vincent, hoping that his friend was feeling more comfortable with the direction of the conversation.
"So," continued Luke, "are you going to the ball?"
((A little short, but there really isn't much to talk about without Vincent doing anything.))

Vincent winced as Letitia rambled on and on and on about she had no idea why he was here and how people told her to leave him alone. Was this girl seriously a Ravenclaw? He looked over at Luke and mouthed 'I have to go. Right now.' The way Letitia was picking at the reason for being here was bad enough, but now that he was more tuned into her, he could feel this light aura of darkness around her as if she had been near some awful people. Of course, this was the case with everyone, but with her...He had to keep from shuddering. He didn't know exactly what it was, but something about her made him uneasy, as if she were talking to fill up some kind of emptiness, as if she were secretly torn between two sides in a way or something.
"Are you going to the ball?"
Vincent hesitated. "Probably not." he replied vaguely. "I wouldn't be able to find a date." for a couple different reasons.
