Roberta woke up in the morning not feeling the greatest, she had her time of stupidity being out in the rain the day before and now she was paying for it. She had a serious headache and her throat was really scratchy, it hurt to swallow...that was what she got for being out there like the fool that she was. She had to admit now that sitting out there like that. She knew that it was a foolish act on her part but she would not let it take its toll on her, she could wait this little cold out until it was over with, well she hoped that she could anyways.
She left the slytherin common room in a bit of a hurry because she was already going to be late for arithmancy the way that it stood and she didn't did want to actually be late, that looked bad on her part. She hardly had time to really fix her robes, of course her hair was fixed the way that it was always but for some reason it looked to be a darker shade of red then it normally was but she didn't really think that was actually a bad thing because it looked like it was touched up and a lot better then it normally appeared to be. As she hurried down the corridors she had to use her free hand to hold her bangs flat so they weren't going all over the place while she rushed to her class.
Upon reaching the arithmancy classroom and finding no one inside of it she slapped her forehead, duh! it was Sunday not Monday, now she felt horribly stupid and she was feeling a little more lightheaded then she had been earlier, the headache was slowly getting worse, the saying "stupid is as stupid does." was proving to be completely true and she hated but had to admit it as she went to the nearest window and lay her head on the ledge, closing her eyes to block out the light and hoping that the noise would not come along, she didn't want to get into trouble for hexing the other students.
She felt absolutely horrible that she was getting sick then there was the fact that she could not find it in her to actually enjoy the beautiful day that was ahead of her, she was too miserable to even care what the weather was like outside. It might have been bright and sunny but she was not feeling like she would be able to even appreciate such a thing, she was absolutely miserable and no one could fix it, being sick was the worst thing when you were at Hogwarts.

((Do you mind if I join?))
Sunday morning was nice, for once. It seemed that half the school was asleep... at least, the half Kaiden cared about. No one was up and about, trying to torment him yet again, which meant that he could get some work done. The library was known to be one of his haunts, so he decided to stay away from there for now. Besides, he was already pushing his luck with the librarian after the last time he had been there.
But where to go? Outside wasn't an option; he abhorred the sun. A classroom, then, and one that a teacher wouldn't mind being used. Not Transfiguration... not Potions... definitely not Defense Against the Dark Arts... Arithmancy. Yes, that would work. That worked perfectly, in more ways than one. He had to do Arithmancy homework, and the large blackboards would allow him to spread out the calculations. And, best of all, few knew of his love or Arithmancy, so they'd probably never think to check there.
His pace a bit more brisk than usual, and with his bag full of books slung over a shoulder, Kaiden climbed the stone stairs to the fifth floor and the Arithmancy classroom. That was an unfortunate byproduct of having a common room in the dungeons, Kaiden mused, you always had to climb to go anywhere. The Gryffindors and Ravenclaws had it easy... except when they had to climb back up there to go to sleep. Kaiden wouldn't mind that, because he rarely slept in the dormitories anymore.
When Kaiden reached the Arithmancy classroom, still wondering at the lack of students, he hesitated for some reason. What if there was a club or something going on inside? Well, he could always duck out again and go to the Ancient Runes class instead. Yes, that's what he'd do.
Kaiden pushed the door open and, for some reason, wasn't surprised to see a girl sitting in the window. Time to go, leave before she noticed him... of course, the creaking of the door ought to have notified her of his presence...

Robby had never felt so miserable in her life. She loved the rain and everything to do with it but it often made her sick and regret it but never before had it made her feel like this. The entire corridor around her seemed to be spinning beneath her very feet and she felt ready to fall over at any minute. What her mother would be saying if she could see her now was resounding in her head and now she was feeling really stupid for not learning her lesson when she was still a kid, she wanted to rest but she was not to be able to until bedtime that very evening, she wished that it would just hurry up...she wished even more that she wasn't the fool who rushed out like she was late for class.
Hearing a door open she looked up and over her shoulder at the boy who looked to be about her age that had just walked in. She slowly nodded in his direction before putting her head down on the cold stone again. Sick was not fun, in fact it was the worst for her ever this day. The heat that hit her seemed to be making it even worse. She was half tempted to see the nurse because she knew that she should but she just couldn't do it because she would much rather to stand on her own two feet through this for as long as she can. Yes Rob was stupid sometimes but the main thing about her was that she was pretty much independent.
In her mind a song her grandmother sang to her before she passed was playing in her head. It always seemed to make her feel better even in the worst of times when she felt she had no strength to go on with anything. She allowed it to resound over and over in her head without her even attempting to stop it. For an ex Slytherin her Grandma was very kind to almost everyone she came across unless of course they were a mudblood or a muggle, then she hated them but the odd thing was that she was even kind to those filthy blood traitors that were allowed to roam the wizarding world freely.
Her thoughts parted from memories of that family member back to the other Slytherin who was in the room as well. She found it odd that anyone was up this early on a Sunday morning when there was very well no school at all. Her beliefs were that either he was up to no good or else he was simply an early riser...something she was most certainly was not. She didn't look up again as she spoke "If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing up so early?" She said in a muffled tone but it was clear enough for him to hear her, well she suspected it to be, she was no expert on knowing how well a person hears.

Despite his first instinct, to run, Kaiden advanced further into the arithmancy classroom, still undisturbed by the girl at the window. He felt that he probably ought to know her name, but Kaiden hadn't yet seen her face and so didn't know. Not that he really cared, but he was just hoping that it wasn't someone that dislike Slytherins. There were too many that did, unfortunately...
Just after he had dropped his shoulder bag and had taken out his half-completed work, Kaiden heard the muffled question. "Arithmancy homework," he said by way of answer. It wasn't a full answer, though, and she was likely to notice. Kaiden's sleeping patterns were very odd and he wasn't sure he wanted anyone to know how little he slept, because then they might report him to Pomfrey, and then he'd never be able to live a real life.
Turning his back to the unknown girl, Kaiden picked up a piece of chalk from the edge of the blackboard and began to write out the formulae and the numbers. This was a particularly hard assignment for the beginning of the year, but Kaiden was up for the task, as long as he got to use the blackboard. If x plus three squared plus y plus four squared equals two hundred and thirty four, then... Kaiden worked out the circle's equation and began to work with the rest of the problem. Fortunately this all made sense to him, which was just why arithmancy was one of his favourite classes.
In the time it took him to answer the first of the questions out of the board, he had completely forgotten about the girl in the room, but he was abruptly reminded as he turned to find out what the second question was. Oops.

((Sorry it took so long))
Roberta sat there as he was seemingly into whatever it was he was doing…looked like it was homework for the class. It was a shame she hadn’t really bothered to get on it yet, due the next day and here she was not even trying to figure it out. Even if she had actually wanted to she didn’t think she would ever be able to get it done and over with. She was pathetic like that but the massive headache wasn’t really helping at all. This was a very bad thing and she knew it but it wasn’t like she actually cared for it to be a good or bad thing, she was tired and wanted to sleep it all out.
She looked out the window at the few people who were just starting to get up now. It was fairly quiet still though she could hear their faint whispering. It was now that she was wishing that she could be back safely in her bed, asleep still. A lot of people still hadn’t woken and she thought it was unfair. It was her own stupidity that got her into this mess though, she was the one who got up thinking it was a Monday morning instead of a Sunday. Her family really wasn’t going to be hearing about this one anytime soon, she would never be able to live it down.
She looked back over at the other Slytherin, she had never seen another of them studying that hard. Most usually slacked off while others really did try. They weren’t as stupid as you would think of them as. Well a few were but not all of them, the two that she could pick out were friends with one of her really good friends so she wouldn’t pick on them just yet. Sure she wasn’t friends with Crabbe and Goyle but they were useful when you wanted a distraction. She used them sometimes, she actually called it borrowing friends but she didn’t like them.
She couldn’t believe he had not answered her. It was rude but it wasn’t as if he was entitled to answering her questions. She wasn’t his mother or father or whatever parent(s) were close to him so he didn’t owe her any explanations but it would have been nice. She decided to just pass it off like nothing was said, it would be as if she had just sat there silently the whole time.
