Elric gave an echoing laugh. "Yeah...you know...I really hated that witch." He frowned softly at the memory. He turned his head again to look at her. "I dont know. I hope soon, I love Hogsmeade, I cant wait to go back."

I'll go out walking, after midnight, out in the moonlight... "Me too," Julia conqored, turning to face him as he faced her. "You know, my stash of sweets is running low. I think one of the younger ones is stealing from me." She giggled after her last comment. It wasn't true, and she figured she gained a few pounds shoving her mouth full of candy she bought at Honeydukes just before the term started. It didn't matter, with as many trips she made to the greenhouses (before and after Herbology classes) those pounds would melt right off. "My sugar-high is starting to get lonely without my company." She flashed a goofy smile at that. For a few moments, her eyes remained on the blog of Umbridge. She couldn't really remember what had exactly happened to that woman. Not that she really cared, and she hoped the Ministry gave her a just punnishment before all of...this started. Now that woman was probably riding high, and she shut her eyes trying to rid herself of that thought. That's what the silence did to her. She often worried that people would think of her as a blabber-mouth. She never really shut-up, but she hated drifting away into her thoughts. That's why she loved her plants so much. They would listen, enjoying the attention, never casting a wrongful thought her way. Never giving her a tiring look, just stood there, listening. Never really talked back, but Julia didn't mind. How silly, she actually concitered those plants to be her closest friends these days. She propped herself half up with her arms and palms, her legs still stretched out, toes pointing towards the skies. She gave a look around and inhaled. For a few seconds, her eyes locked on the greenhouse, and the dried up plant flashed back into memory. What, exactly, was going on there? She really needed to find out soon. For a jiffy, a worried expression crossed her eyes before it faded away just as quickly as it appeared. Trying to shake the disturbing feeling from her she looked back at him, "What do you usually do in Hogsmead? Fill yourself up with Butterbeer? Try and sneak into the Hogshead?" She teased.

"Butterbeer yes, but I normally meet my family to discuss foreign-" He cut off. A near slip there. "Erm...family affairs." He blushed. "But its a few days to myself to play away my soul and lyrics to other people." He shrugged softly.

I will remember you. Will you remember me? Don't let your life pass you by... Julia had heard him catch himself mid-sentence. Again, it was in her nature to pry, but something about the way he quickly corrected himself, the way he blushed, and the way he quickly switched to something more comfortable, made her stop. She began to, lightly, chew on her bottom lip. "Oh, I'm sure!" She said, trying to lighten the suddenly thick atmosphere. "Your talent isnt something that should remain hidden. I wonder, though, why I haven't heard you play before?" It wasn't his fault, really. They probably never met much on the same pages. Especially in Hogsmead, if he was busy with his family and she was busy in the sweets shop and joke shop. Sometimes she questioned herself if she would ever grow out of that. She really needed to use her free time to prioritize herself, get her act together and plan for her future. After all, after this year, Hogwarts was only going to host her for one more year, and the thought was a bit unsettling. For a minute she was envious of Striders ability to spend time with his family. How she wished she could see her father on her trips to Hogsmead, or her mother was safe to venture there like she had back in her 3rd year. Times at Hogwarts were very lonely these days and a sad feeling began to overwhelm her. "You mean to tell me that you wrote that music by yourself as well?" Julia questioned, trying to turn her mind to happier things. She forced a smile, hoping he wouldn't notice it was forced. "Well, I have a regular Motzart on my hands, don't I?"

Elric managed a laugh and blushed. "Look...Julia..." He held her hand in his and stared at their smooth skin touching each other. "I have a confession to make. Just please, I'm begging you...do not tell anyone else." His eyes were desperate looking at hers. "I am who you think I am, but I am not who you think I am."

What kind of magic spell to use? Slime and snails, or puppy dogs tails? Look...Julia...She nearly leapt at the seriousness in his voice, the touch of his hand cradling hers. Her heart thundered in her chest, and she managed to slowly bring her eyes to watch him stare down at their hands mingled into each others. She wasn't sure she wanted him to finish off, wanted him to... do whatever it was he was planning on doing... But she couldn't bring herself to stop him. Her curiosity, that Ravenclaw side of her, wouldn't permit it. I have a confession to make. Just please, I'm begging you...do not tell anyone else.He looked at her and she quickly read the desperation in those beautiful eyes of his. Her face was somber, waiting for him to continue. Her body was suddenly cold and a piece of her wanted to rip her hand away. Pretend he wasn't about to admit anything to her, and have things quickly return to that... happier moment they were having just a few seconds ago. "No," she said, quietly. "Of course not. What's wrong?" I am who you think I am, but I am not who you think I amOh, was that...Wait. What? She looked at him, concerned and curious. "I don't understand," she admitted, her brows scrunched together due to her concern. She forced another smile, "What are you talking about?"

"I-I'm..." Curse this wretched life he had. He kissed the top of her hand and slowly slid his away in a sort of hoped for the physical contact again. "I'm, I'm the Prince of Wales of the House of Crawford, thats why my life has been so limited, thats why my parents and family forbid me to play in the house or the public." He frowned softly and looked away. Thuogh he did not want to.

Are the stars out tonight? I don't know if it's cloudy or bright... Prince of Wales? The House of Crawford? Weren't those people..? Her concerned look still hadn't left her eyes. She remembered her father speaking of "The House of Crawford" when she was fourteen years old, mumbling how he just learned that one of "theirs" had been attending Hogwarts along side her. It was enough for him to almost rip her out of that school and send her to Beauxbatons. It took a lot of tears on her part (and a lot of convincing on her mother's) for him to allow her to stay. After all, what place would protect her more than the school in which Albus Dumbledore taught? Not that any witch or wizard of such a high rank would ever set their evil sights on lowly Julia, daughter of a measly Auror.. right? She reached for his hand, holding it in hers. She could see how hard it was for him to admit it to her, and for him to admit it in such a short time of them knowing each other, she knew it was something that bubbled deep within him. She could understand his wanting to get it out, she was just happy he chose her to do it with. Julia was excellent at keeping secrets, and at least he wasn't alone anymore. "Look at me," she cood, bringing her free hand under his chin and gently tugging him towards her. "How could I look at you any different than I had only minutes ago?" It was a serious question. "You're just a beautiful boy who makes loevely music in my eyes." And that was fact. She smiled softly at him. "As far as I'm concerned, you're my friend with a very well known last name."

Elric opened his eyes and smiled at her. He leaned forward and kissed her cheek gently. "Thank you Julia." He whispered near her ear and pulled away to look into her eyes. The softness of her skin was amazing, and he enjoyed it very much. He had such an amazing friend, and he thought that perhaps they both shared the same secret together. A small secret crush on one another.
Either way....love of friendship was really growing rapid and healthy at this rate and he didnt want it to stop.

Can you handle the curves? Can you run all the lights? She closed her eyes as he kissed her cheek and thanked her. She really hoped she was doing right by him, but seriously, how could she be doing him harm? "Thank you," she said, nodding her sincerity. "It makes me happy to know you trust me." There was silence between them, and Julia quickly clapped her hands together, as she grinned his direction. "You know what we need?" She asked pulling herself into a complete standing position and brushing the grass off herself. "A sneak-in to the Kitches. Yes..." Her eyes were gleaming. "Can't speak for you.. Strider.." She winked, "But I'm craving a sprinkled doughnut." Her mouth actually watered at the thought. "Or.. a quick dip in the lakes before the weather cools? Can't imagine either ouf our housemates would be too keen on that." Unless he didn't want to attract attention to himself? She wasn't sure. "Or a prank, I do love pulling those. The clouds aren't forming any shapes at the moment, but I'm sure they'd be here when we got back." She grinned, playfully, at him. And she would be perfectly content with leaving him be, if that was his wish. She really wasn't one for staying in one place too long, it made her antsy, and she could feel her legs begin to jitter. She, most deffinately, didn't want him to think it was because of him. "What do you say?"

Elric laughed softly and stood up. "A like a dip in the lake. That sounds good." Minus the fact that his very athletic body would be exposed. He smiled up at her. A questioned burned in his mind, but he'd wait until later.

Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk... She practically squealed with delight as she lightly pranced her feet and clapped her hands. "Good! Good.." She grabbed his hand and attempted to drag him towards the lake. "Well? Come on! The days not getting any younger, and I'm a little.. weirded out about swimming in a lake with a giant squid in it once the sun sets." So what? She had a small fear... What did it matter? At least it was safe with others WHILE others were out. Besides, ever since her 3rd year, she so loved 15 minute dips into the lake. Shre rarely did it, but when she could... [OOC: I'll start a new thread at the lake, then. =) ]

Elric laughed and allowed her to drag him. A friend indeed. A peaceful time. A nice life. Nothing to ever come into his mind of missing in action. He followed after her.
